Omaha getting taken... ...wait for it... ...out behind the woodshed!
-
According to the logos on NBCSN, it's the BU Terriers 0, the Merrimack Bulldogs 1.

7-2 Michigan...off to NBCSN for BC at UNH I guess...

How does OSU get a 5 minute major and game DQ on the head-butt but #4 Martin for Michigan gets nothing for slamming the back of the OSU player's head into the boards not once but TWICE?

Oxbow6, your opinion on the Soo Laker road blues?

Michigan in yellow and Ohio State in red is a great hockey jersey match-up tonight.

Not sure what there is to appeal about doing 100+ mph in a 55 zone...but there's never a shortage of attorneys willing to take a case, is there?

It NEVER gets old!

I think Kevin mentioned that while KFAN was broadcasting live from Fluid Ink in St Paul...as he was busy getting himself a Goldy Gopher tramp stamp tattoo.

But Notre Dame's given up 3 or more goals in 10 of their 16 games...
-
7 of Bemidji's 10 losses have been by 2 goals or less. 7 of Lake Superior State's 13 losses have been by 3 goals or more. UND needs to do more than just "show up" in order to sweep though.

Watched LSSU twice this season - a young, young team. Great jerseys and great tradition, but it's been 20 years of trying to recapture that '88, '92, and '94 magic - and the Lakers won't find it this weekend. 6-1 tonight, 5-1 tomorrow night. Cue the traditional circle of sticks.

The good old days of 75 bowl games on New Years Day are all gone. The last few years of bowls starting in mid-December and ending around January 10th sucked all the life out of bowl season too.

Who is going to wind up being the bigger all-time bust, Robert Griffin III or Jadeveon Clowney?
-
Oh boo hoo! After YEARS of watching Nebraska running up the score on patsies just to try and impress coaches and AP pollsters, Cornhusker fans now want to whine about other teams putting up 50+ on the pinkshirts defense? Cry me a river!

I was a big 76ers guy back then too - still can't believe they blew a 2-0 series lead in the 1977 NBA finals against the Blazers and a 3-1 series lead in 1981 against the Celtics in the east finals...they likely would have won the 1981 title against the cinderella Houston Rockets. Dr J deserved a title long before 1983.

I watched ESPN on Tuesday night and they were talking about the "odds" of Philadelphia winning at Minnesota - I believe it was 17%. I laughed out loud and thought "book it, 76ers win." Andrew Toney, Darryl Dawkins, Mo Cheeks, Bobby Jones, Charles Barkley, Clint Richardson, Julius Erving, and many other great 76ers must throw up in their mouths a little at what management has done to this organization.

I thought the same thing when looking at some of Riley's past season records..
-
OK, Nebraska wants a coach to win "big games," eh? How's this? Mike Riley's résumé: 1998: a 44-41 home win over #15-ranked Oregon, who came into the game with an 8-2 record (Oregon State was 4-6 at the time, finishing 5-6 on the season) 2006: 33-31 home win over #2-ranked USC, who came into the game 6-0 and wound up 11-2 and Rose Bowl champions). OSU also beat Oregon and finished 10-4 on the season 2007: beat #2 ranked Cal in Berkeley 31-28. Cal had been 5-0 at that point but would go on to lose 5 more games after the OSU loss. OSU finished 9-4 on the season. 2008: 27-21 home win over #1-ranked USC. It would be the only loss on the season for the Trojans, who went on to beat Penn State in the Rose Bowl. OSU came into the USC game at 1-2, but would finish 9-4 on the season. Looks respectable, especially for Oregon State, but didn't the Cornhuskers just FIRE a coach for losing 3-4 games a season?
-
Riley's done an outstanding job at Oregon State. Why do you think that he's such a poor hire?
-
Florida will pay $5 million to CSU as part of McElwain's buyout and has agreed to play the Rams in an upcoming game that will account for the $2.5 million balance.
-
None. Zero. Especially not with that show-cause that isn't up for two more years.
-
Not that I watch any games, but was there ANY doubt that the 76ers were going to win their first game of the season against the Timberwolves last night?
-
Agreed. Still think there's more to the story about why Bielema left Wisconsin. Perhaps St Alvarez and his massive ego got in Bret's way?
