We elect politicians by a majority vote, pass amendments that way, and enact legislation based on what is best for the whole. Why, then, should a multiple-edged sword like political correctness be driven and wielded by a minority? This statement says it all.

Why do i have a feeling by the time a vote comes it will be time to Christmas shop. Seems like things are in slow motion and Nov 30th is only 6 months and 17 days away.

I would like to see them try this in ND...go ahead and tell all the schools on reservations to change their names...Belcourt, Four Winds, etc. and see where that goes.

I agree also won't this hurt recruiting. Not only athletes but students as well, why go to a school who is always in the paper for either crimes (Best Buy, and DUI's) or financial problems at the top (Chapman's house). This school went from the "model school of transition" to problems at the D1 level.

I think the big question is what is the SBoHE going to do to fix the problems. I say tell SU and UND you are on financial probation. No building of any kind without approval from the board and all invoices must go through the board first before the first nail is hit. Penalty----termination. That simple. Plus have monthly audits to make sure the schools are doing this right.

UND doesn"t need to make NDSU look bad the audit and police reports already do that.

What is the problem with the team is it the players or the lack of control of the players. If its the lack of control then Bohl should be out. He is the sheppard and his flock is out of control and the NCAA has no problems putting teams on probation. Whats the odds that NDSU has a perfect season only to not be playoff eligible for breaking NCAA rules and being on probation.
