We have given them "perks" in academics for decades and no complaints yet. Isn't that worth something. As for the Summit League they owe us a chance to join like South Dakota or at least apply for membership with an open mind. Have the Summit tour the campus, attend a game and show there isn't a hostile and abusive atmosphere at UND. Keeping UND out by saying until the nickname issue is resolved is BS. The NCAA did pick on us for having us choose 2 Sioux tribes instead of 1 like Central Mich, Utah, and FSU. You are not going to get 100 percent of people to agree on anything. Did 100 percent of people agree on a president? Did 100% of people agree to keep Redskins as a nickname for Washington? 67% is a lot from one tribe. The other tribe no one knows because they won't let their people vote. We have had decades of chances??? We have had decades where our nickname was NOT a major issue that we need to be on a blacklist from the NCAA.

This is why i would rather have the NCAA tell us to get permission from the closest Sioux tribe (SL) that way we wouldn't have all these trials.

Then why doesn't UND apply for membership? Is Oakland, and IUPUI and SDSU going to vote no? I think since we schedule Summit teams like SDSU, NDSU, and UMKC we should be able to get in.

How come we haven't heard anything from the Standing Rock since what October?? Speachless during the first court trial now still speachless during the SBoHE vote and court appeal?? I think they really don't care. RHHIT won. The board will change the name effective after the ND Supreme court rules for the SBoHE and if the SR is still speachless then change the name. Does anyone think this could start an inter-state Indian war between the SL and SR. The SL did all they could voted for the name, even gone to court to buy time and what has the SR done...nothing. Hats off to the SL for all their effort and as for the SR.....sorry I'm speachless.

You seriously don't think that Minnesota and Wisconsin would nix UND in a Big 10 conference. We are their rivals for the past 60+ years. We are a hockey powerhouse and they would go nowhere and leave UND behind.
