  1. Wouldn't Denver make more sense since its a major airport hub or even Salt Lake City...but Spokane? Its good if you live in WA, ID, or MT.
  2. They could merge with the Great West Conference...what's left of it after UND leaves.
  3. Me too. I am just trying to think of the positive side of UND's sh-t schedule.
  4. Just remember all we still can't get to the playoffs yet so OOC doesn't mean anything. Its the conference games that count for whatever its worth. So lets enjoy 2011 and then UND, USD, Cal Poly, UC Davis, and SUU can all say so long Great West Football Conference it was nice knowing you and hello Big Sky (and MVFC for USD).

    Time to recap

Been to Bisonville lately?? Smack about our "tin shed"? Smack about our name? Whatever this butthockey theme that is always going on over there. See I don't like to see it, but I choose not to join and lecture Bison fans what to put and what not to put on a Bison board. This is a Sioux board we are allowed to put what we want about our school and smack our rivals to the south just as they do in BVille.
  6. At first I thought so but especially now I am so glad we are in the Big Sky.
  7. Then why does Mr Kolpack (NDSU fan) have to bring up this crap now when the legislature is bringing up 3 bills to save the name. I guess he is not an Al Carlson fan, or he just likes to stir up trouble with UND and the Summit.
  8. So now its Douple's turn to call Kelley a liar. I wonder when this will be said...or ever said.
  9. http://www.fightingsioux.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=13500&ATCLID=205083244 Brian Faison:
  10. http://www.grandforksherald.com/event/article/id/191429/ This is why I have so much respect for the Spirit Lake Sioux Nation!!
  11. Tell that to some UND professors who let their anti-nickname views get the best of them. So are you saying Hakstol and Roebuck were unprofessional because they love the name and support it?
  12. Just look at sales between the Blackhawk logo and the other Sioux logo when the hockey team went with the plain North Dakota jerseys in the early to mid 90's.
  13. Why not say it. What are they going to do fire him. There would be un uproar if Faison was fired for supporting the name.
  14. Gabriel just asked Faison where he stands on the nickname..his response "I am not allowed a personal opinion on this, he has follow what the Board directs him too." Um no personal opinion.....we know Hakstol's and Roebuck's opinion but Faison you can't give us your opinion you chicken sh-t.
  15. Douple doesn't need help he is an embarrassment.
  16. Maybe he wants to prove Kelley a liar and the Big Sky should beware when dealing with UND. I hope it all comes out and blows up in Douple's face.
  17. Good point.
  18. We don't know. Thats the problem. Every school that kept their name got 1 tribal approval. And everyone in ND including that !@#!$! knew that the SR was going to be near impossible to get their blessing unlike the Spirit Lake who did have approval back in 2000. But It was never published what the horse trade deal was some think its 2 tribes for an extended period of years to get both approvals...which IMO is stupid beyond belief.
  19. That is NOT Kelley's fault that is the Standing Rock's fault. What was Kelley to do tell the SR either get a total tribe vote or else? If anyone is to blame for this mess blame that dumbass AG Wayne Stenjeum. He messed up this whole thing from the beginning. If we could have had 1 tribal vote we wouldn't be talking about this.
  20. If Faison has a sh-t schedule for UND football in 2012...fire him then and there. If it does turn out that Kelley did push for the end of UND's nickname instead of Douple then fire him too.
  21. Next season (11-12) we lose South Dakota to the Summit. I hope we have a good team coming up to Grand Forks to replace the Yotes.
  22. With all that oil and yet our gas is over 3 bucks a gallon. Venezuela has a lot of oil and their gas is like under a dollar. Nice that the oil tycoons in this country get richer and we get poorer at the gas pump. http://www.dailyfinance.com/story/gas-prices-around-the-world/19543148/
  23. That was a very sloppy game. The Sioux at the line was horrible. If I was Jones every player at pratice better be able to shoot 100 free throws to make up for the misses. It was too bad about the technical foul at the end because there was no time outs. Better get the troops prepared for the real thing 2012-2013 season.
  24. Living in North Fargo we had flood walls added by the El Zagal Golf Course to protect that area since Elm Street goes so low in that area plus a dike at the VA for 45ft is a good safety net, but I still got flood insurance like I did in 09, the policy starts in 2 weeks, my wife and kids in 09 stayed with her brother and his family in Minneapolis while I stayed here and worked although I did have a change of clothes in my SUV just in case got us thinking about where are we going this year. After going though the flood of 1997 in Grand Forks with no clean water no sewage (walking down the block to take a crap in a porta potty was bad enough) and the cleanup gives me high anxiety this time of year. I just hope my kids don't have to go through what I went through 14 years ago.
  25. I thought we could get a flood talk going especially with all the media hype recently. Here in Fargo it looks really bad. For starters our river froze just 2 feet below flood stage (18ft), which is a lot higher than in the winter of 08-09. We have gotten more snow than we did in Jan. of 09 and the water in the snow is more than it was at this time 2 years ago. They say 50-50 shot at 38 but a chance at 42 (40.84 in 09 is the record). Well to put it this way at 45 you could almost kiss Fargo goodbye. 45 is the top of the VA Center dike (just 6 blocks from my house!!). So I am praying it doesn't go that high but that is the highest dike in Fargo/Moorhead. The other dikes in Fargo vary thoughout the city but only a couple are 40 and over without adding sandbags. So how is the flood talk where you live?
