Here is the funny part and proves that GT is scared of UND...in 2004 UND cut ties with SDSU, since then UND completed a home and home with the Jacks and play them in every sport. Now if the Jacks can overlook UND cutting ties a decade ago which no one who was part of it is still with the U then why can't GT and NDSU? FEAR! A loss to UND (which UND is 4-1 in the Fargodome or should I say Alerus Center South) would be an embarrassment to NDSU, hurt recruiting, and send the team and BV into meltdown mode.

Since 2010 UND has now signed home/home games with 3 MVFC teams but NDSU clearly finds a way to avoid UND. No 6th home game, not good enough, Roger Thomas cancelled the series, can the excuses get more pathetic...oh wait 2014 is only 2 months old.

From BV: Obviously Incarnate Word, Weber St, Prairie View and Ferris St has a good enough product to play the mighty Bison but won't play UND. Anyone, anywhere sure except if you are UND. Bison fans are so funny.

I think you would have less people going to the Shooting Star or Dakota Magic. Cheaper hotels in the area and more to do in GF than Mahnomen, and Hankinson.

I know that, but i am asking if GF is going thought the trouble of changing laws why not just own their own casino? That way the city gets all the profits. GF could be the Las Vegas of ND.

Does anyone remember the title game between Central and Red River that ended in a tie because the game wouldn't end? I can't remember what year that was.

How would GF fund a city owned casino? Is it a federal law that needs to be changed or is that a state law. Because if they are going to change laws why not fund the casino and keep the profits within the city.

Do you have a timetable for this like before or after the Super 5 split. I can't see UND going FBS until after the next decade or until the FBS (minus the Super 5) start their own playoff system and purge the top FCS conferences/ teams. I am sure the SU's and UND would move at the same time in my scenario (unsure about the Coyotes). But 2020 at the earliest is my guess. But until then let's start winning some big games (both FBS and FCS) and get our name out there if we want any kind of an invite. NDSU did their part they won 3 NC, we haven't done anything but win a title in a conference that doesn't exist anymore. But SiouxVolley I do like your FBS thinking.

And have a playoff of who says the stupidest thing throughout the year. That one would be a tough one.

With Oshie getting a lot of attention by the media along with UND, Grand Forks, etc....will this boost recruting for UND hockey?

Its official Weber State just inked a Home and Home with NDSU. NDSU at WSU in 2014, and WSU at NDSU in 2015. Dom Izzo still thinks UND and NDSU should meet in 2015.

Add lacrosse and maybe women's field hockey. I would love to go FBS but I think we need to do some kind of damage in the BSC/FCS to not only up the attendance but up the fanbase. There are way more hockey only fans than UND sports fans if it was equal we would see close to record attendance at the Betty and Alerus but without winning kills that. Win first, then FBS later. Going now makes no sense, going after an FBS split with the Super 5 going one way and the FBS sucking up FCS teams then UND could get in. It's nice to dream about this but it won't happen anytime soon.
