So they have a one way filter on them?

Why weren’t they wearing their masks?
-
Are you certain about this? I've heard different, though I very well could be wrong.
-
So...if someone tests positive, how often do they get tested afterwards? What I'm curious about is we know that positive tests as a metric do not equal cases. By what factor are positive tests higher than actually cases? Is each case getting tested 2-3x while they are still positive?

And this is where politics gets in the way of reality. This would be impossible to do at this point, but what would a logical person take as an approach given the above data set?
-
Spot on. The hypocrisy and contradiction will be obvious, but never widely reported.

Have we heard even one person on the left talk about a plan to get out of the Covid-19 mess? A timeline, a metric that would be used to get back to life? In Minnesota, school districts were told that case numbers would be guidance, not rule of law, but when a school district recently went outside of that guidance they were threatened with defunding and possible fines and jailtime for the school board. Minnesota is no longer a free society. I pay for a school my kids can't attend, I watch my friends go bankrupt and/or struggle to keep a business afloat while taking zero income from that business and nobody on the left seems to care a bit. They'd rather attack Trump and call me a cult member for wanting my son to get the education I pay for and wanting people who risked it all to have success in life be successful. This virus CANNOT BE STOPPED, how many countries do we need as examples before people are going to wake up to this fact. They are too busy trying to win an argument to see what's going on all around them. It's maddening.

But if they continue the lockdowns following a Biden win, they would be forced to take ownership of it personally. Right now, they have the perfect scapegoat for their followers.
-
Around the 20th?
-
Exactly, the emphasis will shift away from deaths, testing will slow to a halt, "cases will decrease", the CDC will quietly change the criteria for what counts as a Covid death and it will "go away"
-
But you guys don't think it's a temporary play by those states to push the "Trump did this" narrative? That's my assessment of the situation and I see them using Trump as a scapegoat once he's gone. If things all of a sudden get better under Biden it's incredibly easy to put all of the deaths on Trump and say "if we only had true leadership at the top when this started it would have all been avoided." I see it getting immediately better if Biden is elected because they will no longer be pushing for lockdowns in democratically controlled states and municipalities.
-
Zero chance they roll back restrictions? I have to disagree. They know this can't go on forever and the minute they are in power and things "get better", they get to play the hero. It'll be incredibly hypocritical and impossible to explain away, but people will buy it anyway. Biden wins and is inaugurated at the end of January, we'll go through another round of lockdowns for two weeks and testing will be decreased at the same time. Cases will "drop" and people will blame Trump and say that Biden is a hero. Coronavirus will be gone by March 2021 with no vaccine in place. The narrative will shift to herd immunity and "other strains" as the vaccine becomes available and people will still line up to get it.
-
I wonder what the democratic message will be when they decide it's time to move on from this too. If Biden wins, at some point they're going to dial back all restrictions and it'll be before a vaccine is widely available. Will people call them liars then or will they say Biden handled it so much better? Testing will decrease and "cases will drop". How people can't see what's happening is amazing to me.

I was making the point that young people die from a lot of different things when they have underlying conditions. This is an article about a teen tragically dying from influenza.

Tragic, agreed. But to say she had 20 years is a large assumption. https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/17/health/flu-ohio-teen-kaylee-roberts-death-eprise/index.html

“Trump is a liar, how could you vote for him?”

The trouble is science doesn’t provide us with a clear delineation on where life begins other than conception. Unique DNA is created in that moment. Without an agreement on when human life begins, there will never be common ground in this conversation.

The answer to your question is incredibly complicated and deeply philosophical. If you’re opposed to abortion and some technological advance exists due to abortion, should you not use that advance. It’s a tough question I don’t have the answer to. Similar to being opposed to Nazis, but our entire space program is built on the back of nazi rocket technology born out of operation Paperclip. If you’re anti Nazi do you have to shun and not benefit from any of those technological advances that exist in our daily life? I’m not sure. These aren’t easy questions.

Michigan Militia is just an idea, they're nothing to worry about.

Wait two weeks, those kids will be super spreaders.

Even to be in the discussion is a feat that even the most fervent NDSU fan could have never imagined.

As long as transfers remain a small portion of the plan, I don't have a problem with it. When we start relying on them to be successful, I think it leads to more trouble than benefit. Being able to have the majority of the team be guys that were recruited, redshirted and developed has been a major key to NDSU's ability to develop diamonds that were under-recruited. They've really developed some beasts on the D-line over the years.
