There was a terrorizing charge that was pretty bad at UND in recent memory.
-
lol, yeah that's why NDSU is winning championships. I would like to live just one day in your head darell, it seems like fun.
-
The legal system is the entity that gave the players a slap on the wrist, if you want to issue blame at least do it in the correct place.
-
Having the facts straight and coming to the correct conclusion are two separate things.
-
If it makes you guys feel better to see NDSU as a dirty program, go ahead. None of you have any idea what goes on behind the scenes at NDSU, so you have no frame of reference to say what sort of things are a priority for coach Bohl and his staff to teach. For those who say they wouldn't trade for NDSU's program right now because of the negative attention they have received, you are absolutely lying to yourselves. Any one of your coaches would take it in a split second and so would the fans. Don't be childish and try to downplay what has been accomplished in Fargo, by chalking it up to "well anyone could do it if they had a dirty program". It just makes all of you sound jealous and pathetic.
-
Not sure I understand that sentiment, the thread is/was about the FCS playoffs. NDSU was the champion of those playoffs, talking about this seems relevant in this thread. If the mods think the conversation has run it's course than I might agree with that, but the thread is an appropriate place for the discussion.
-
NDSU hasn't had an away playoff game in two years, how could you possibly predict how they would play away from Fargo in the playoffs?
-
And UND could have been 11-0, the fact is NDSU didn't finish 7-4, they finished 14-1. Bringing up close wins is irrelevant. Is Alabama rated below 30? Edit: Also, we've talked about this before, but since NDSU took a win away from those teams and added a loss, NDSU contributes to their record not looking so good.
-
You're right, he wasn't great, but I don't remember him being a real weakness either. The kick in the championship game was embarrassing and coach bohl let him know about it too.
-
This is the main difference between FBS teams(30 and up) and FCS teams. Of course they couldn't handle a full FBS schedule, they have 22 less scholarships.
-
You didn't think Keller was any good? He isn't the best they've had, but I didn't see that position as a glaring weakness. Did you?
-
How is it over the top? They were voted at #25 in the AP poll by 1 voter, they finished the season #35 in the sagarin ratings. I think an unbiased observer would say they are right in line with the teams in the 30-40 range. I'm sure it's hard for a UND fan to take that(not smack, honest) but I believe it to be true. You can disagree if you want, but to call it ridiculous is well...ridiculous.
-
You're welcome to believe that, I disagree. I had seen plenty of GSU football this year because I knew we would meet up with them in the playoffs so I watched closely. We took their absolute best shot that night and still pulled out a victory. I would be surprised if they could repeat that performance based on the games I had watched.
-
Again, are you watching these football games or just spouting random things to make yourself feel better?
-
Fair enough. Pretty large sample size to choose from on those away playoff games.
-
Yeah, the level of arrogance that is backed up by sagarin and at least one voter in the AP poll. I am sure you know so much better though. Teach me more about this arrogance thing, you seem to have it pretty much nailed..
-
Did you watch USC this year? Or are you just picking a team with some cache because they are named USC?
-
No, I am not backtracking. You're right I said I would take them, meaning I would pick them to win. I haven't backed away from that at all. Dave called my post arrogant, implying that to suggest NDSU could beat them is ridiculous. To suggest it is ridiculous that NDSU could beat them implies there is a team that he feels would beat NDSU badly that meets my criteria. So I asked him which team he feels would beat NDSU so badly that he felt my post was arrogant. If you think there is a team that might beat NDSU, but the game would be very close, than it wouldn't be ridiculous for me to pick NDSU in that game now would it? I know it's early, but this isn't complicated logic.
-
Again, NDSU has a better record away from the Fargodome over the past 2 years. How much of a home field advantage do they really have?
-
I would love to hear the matchup that you challenge my statement on. Which team would beat NDSU?
-
Considering NDSU has a better away record than home record over the past 2 years, I would reconsider this post if I were you.
-
Not sure this requires explanation but...ok. For my comment to be considered arrogant, there would have to be a team that meets the criteria(outside of top 30) that would be such an overwhelming favorite over NDSU that it would be ridiculous to pick NDSU to win the game on a neutral field. eg. Alabama. NDSU would be such a decided underdog in this game that it wouldn't be reasonable for anyone to pick them. ie. There would have to be a team that Dave thinks would beat NDSU pretty badly for me not to pick them on a neutral field. So name the team Dave. Who is it that is so much better than NDSU outside the top 30 that you called my comments arrogant?
-
Considering NDSU finished the season at number 35 in college football rankings. I would love to hear which team outside of the top 30 you think would beat NDSU so badly.
-
I had it right the first time, no need to fix it. Billy Turner, Crockett, Marcus Williams and I believe Leevon Perry will get a shot.
-
In a single game contest, at a neutral site, I would take NDSU against any FBS team outside of the top 30. For those of you who think I'm crazy I would be happy to listen to your reasoning.
