In the Herald's sportswriters chat, Schlossman says UND didn't offer Jacob Benson anything due to the amount of 1996-born forwards already committed. After reading that St. Cloud offered on Friday and Benson committed Tuesday, I had a feeling UND probably didn't show much interest.

I saw a tweet earlier that said only around 10,000 tickets have been sold for the outdoor game. I belive the stadium seats 24,000. If the weather is nice maybe a lot of tickets will be sold the day of. Not sure how many tickets have sold for the Friday game at CenturyLink, but Omaha trypically draws 6,000-8,000 for home games.

It could be that St. Cloud's offer was better (or UND didn't offer at all). Or maybe he simply wanted to play away from home (a la Gage Ausmus). Sure it's tough to see a local kid get away, but UND has landed its fair share - Thompson, Johnson, LaDue, and Poolman most recently. And don't forget UND snagged Austin Poganski from St. Cloud's backyard.
