AP=adequate perfomance? 14 carries for 3 yards vs. SF!! He is no Ryan Grant?!
-
And that is not verbatim . Did I do ok, PCM

Used to shoot pool, watch Days of Our Lives and eat lunch over the noon hour with those 2 at the Union back in the day. Both look the same when I run into them as they did in the late '80s. K-Dawg's boiler is alittle bigger, but I think Slim Fast is out of the question for him. UND icons!!

Agree, my original post that Malone will be solid as is Kaip, was to point out that I see him being a 4 year guy who will bring more than physical skills down the road. Malone is physical, skates well and will score more down the road. But from what I've seen of him, he seems to have some of those character triats that could lead to an "A" or "C" on his jersey down the road. I think Kaip is great and is what good teams need to be great at the end of the year. I can see Malone doing/being the same.

7 is greater than 5!!

Any time you use the term "dude", there is some feeling of endearment
-
I think Malone is a solid 2 way F. He'll be a Kaip type player down the road--solid. I agree with Miller. Biggest disappointment this year. Loads of talent but if constantly looks like he is loafing. And since I'm rolling, I don't think Zajac got Hak's message when he sat him on Fri. in Denver. He gives you nothing on offense. Some will say that he wins lots of draws, but that's like saying a pitcher throws strikes but has an ERA over 7! The couple of time Forney has played i thought he looked ok. Davidson...have no prsonal idea. With the current lines, outside the DOV line, there is no consistant threat offensively. Like I have said before, when JPL has the save percentage and GAA he has, this team should not be .500 in the WCHA! The need to find some way to get more consistant offensively.

Mr. Branch, like most other anti-nickname people, tend to say this happend and that happened because they where there. So why not on occasion give specifics...time, date and place. The sad thing is is the fact that too many people who read the newspaper take any thing printed as "truth". Was at UND for 4 years and traveled quite often to other schools for FB, BB and hockey games and I never ran across any of the scenerios he described in his letter. You can see how he is staff at SCSU.

Correct, but winning the WCHA regular season does give you an opportunity to win a national title. Again this year with UND will be battling to get into the the national tourney. I think a lot of people are saying it would be nice to still be in the hunt for the conference title before we go the Christmas break once in a while and frankly I don't think that is too high of an expectation instead of wait for the 2nd half surge again.

I'll make sure I give you ALL the details in the future so you want have to fill in the blanks with your own interpretation of what you think was said and what happened.

They were not back on Sat. and yes--UND fans.

Since poopski seems to want a play by play from Fri., the two who bought tickets in a season ticket holder's section were told multple times to tone it down by many around, to which drunk 1 would say" F you" and then drunk 2 would would try to say something only to drool. I did explain that tomorrow (Sat.) that type of behavior would not be tolerated for 60 minutes of hockey to which drunk 1 insulted and swore at my buddy?? Sorry about the typo poops, it was drivel...but at least you are smart enough to pick up on that .
-
My point exactly, but some seem to think that if you BUY a ticket you HAVE the right to act as you so choose is ridiculous. The two from Fri. were not back last night. But if you buy a ticket from someone else does that give you the RIGHT to again use the F word as a noun, verb and adjective?? To throw things on the ice because you don't agree with a call? The gal on Friday was so plowed her white jersey looked tie-dyed from all the spilled drinks...and that was her most attractive feature. By the way a guy one row behind me got tossed out last night because people were complaining that he was standing and he refused to sit down. If there are some that disagree with my points so be it, just try to make sure you don't buy tickets in 110 because a lot us there are tired of hearing "I paid for this ticket..."

There in lies the a big answer with this year's team...Toews was really THAT good. And his absence is shown/felt more that I thought it would be this year even with all the other returning talent we had coming back. I still feel this is a very talented group, but they just don't show you anything on consecutive nights to get you excited about March/April...at least not yet.
-
I am going to reply to you on this topic once because any more might cause your head to implode! If you condone public drunkenness, stupidity, vulgarity and just plain being an a**, that is your right. But when someone tells me "Hey I paid for this ticket and I can do what I want" that mentality coupled with yours is why we have so many unresponsible and accountable idiots around. Your argument is an argument of enabling which I'm sure your folks did for you as you grew up! Tattle tale, acting like God because I have season tickets?? What does that have to do with someone acting completeley inappropriate for any kind of public setting...oh I forgot it is HOCKEY. Don't respond to this as your illogical dival will only cause you to look like more of any a** to everyone on this board.

This is now 4 straight sub-par games at home. Stalock was aweful Fri. vs. UMD and we got the win and this Fri. JPL stole one. JPL is no where near a/the problem for this team. With his save % and GAA, this should not be a .500 WCHA team. The D lapses that occur in games like last night and in prior loses are mind boggling. I thought Bina was aweful all weekend. LaPointe stuggled Fri. Chorney was aweful last night and Marto didn't play well either. The D play this year has really been a disappointment in many games. The offense is up and down at best. They looked lost as to get anything going all weekend. No consistant play from any lines offensively even though the top line has good moments. Zajac and Miller, to name 2, give us nothing night in and out. But I feel the biggest issue if effort/urgency! I took some (different) buddies who don't get to UND ever often on both nights and to a person they commented on how "slow" and "lazy" UND looked. UND won 1 period all weekend...Friday's 3rd. If you want to count last night's 3rd to make yourself feel better go ahead. Maybe Gophs aren't that bad from what I saw this weekend, but I'm leaning towards UND might not be as good as originally advertised. Because there is no excuse to play the way they have played at home this year, especially the past to series against, at best, decent teams in UMD and UM. Toughest part of the WCHA schedules is over but we can't sweep at home and unfortunately there is going to be some road weekend that we don't play well and maybe get swept? So then where are we?? More than likely around .500 in the WCHA when it is all said and done. Unless we get the second half surge for the 4th year in a row???

If Kangas is playing...6-2 Sioux, but I was thinking that if Frazee started anyways
-
"Wow! What a great stop UND's top-line and they are beatable mind." 4-2 UND win with no points from the top line. That is why PA (and Dubay) are worhtless from 9-12 during the week. Talk about 2 that drink that Cities kool-aid.
-
They are too busy this weekend working on economic developement, educational issues, healthcare iss...
-
Agree because it is difficult to score when you are not in the ice
-
Have season tickets in 110. I didn't take my 7 year old daughter last night but am tonight. There were 2 drunk 20+ year olds in front of us last night...one of each sex. The gal was more of an idiot than the guy but the guy was one of the clowns throwing stuff on the ice. I told them I'll be back tomorrow and if they are back as well one screw up and I'd have them both tossed out as I'm not going to have my daughter subjected to such morons.
-
If UND gets any offense generated before the 3rd period tonight, this one is going to be ugly. Frazee looked aweful once we put some shots on net. He was giving up rebounds late in the game all over the place. I'm hoping for a 7-2, 8-3 game tonight. But a win any way we get it is fine.
-
Few comment from the REA last night. 1) Great win anytime you beat the Gophs. 2) UND looked a least a step slow most of the night. Especially Oshie who would turn it on in spurts. I think he is more dinged up then we know. Gritty effort again. 3) Worst game I've seen Bina play in a long time and LaPointe looked like a freshman last night. 4) Finley and Malone brought the physicality that the Sioux needed. 5) Kiap line was most consistant offensively all night. 6) As usual, refs were consistantly inconsistant...both ways. 7) How does JPL not get mentioned regularly as one of, if not the top goalie in the WCHA. Was again terrific tonight. 8) I know this has been mentioned but the student section was pathetic. I was embarrassed. If the Sioux can play 2 (want 3 though) periods like the 3rd last night, they will hang a least a 6 pack on Long Island. He looks to be fighting the puck on every shot. I think the Gophs played their game last night and the Sioux roll tonight--6-2.

Glad to hear Genoway is back, but suprised he'll be on the blue line. Marto has looked good for the most part and Martens hasn't shown much offensively. None the less, Genoway is highly skilled and will help this weekend. Possibly Jones sits??
