Because of an occasional flood??? 4 of of the top 10 worst floods (ever) of the Red in Fargo will have come within the last 5 years ('09-'13). Sounds like a "now" problem vs. a "long time ago" problem...and I don't consider the past 5 years a long time ago.
Oh...so this about you. Reality check...over 130K+ people will have bigger issues than you losing some land if F-M floods like GF in '97 at some point. Again...a huge part of this increase flooding issue is that land owners/farmers downstream that have used technology to vastly improve the drainage of water off their land directly into the Red. That's not even debatable.
Pretty broad and ignorant post on a subject that's way more complex than what your limited view sheds light on. If your crystal ball would tell us how "high" permanent protection needs to be so Fargo never has to worry again that would be a good start. As Dan mentioned the NWS went from possibly 42-44' a couple weeks ago to 35.5' last night.
True confirmation comes from Tony's aunt though.
BTW who is Tony's aunt and how did "she" come up this thread?? I just remember someone a while back posting/said that she could beat *someone* up.
My oldest daughter is playing in a soccer tournament in Blaine this weekend. If they don't get out of pool play, her and I will be buzzing over to the X to scalp some tickets on Sunday. Should be a win/win for us regardless.
I'm with with all of thee above. MN top line is good and Cullen Zucker Setaguchi is a very creative 2nd line. Lines 3 and 4 stink and the depth of the Hawks will be too much.
Wild tied for Columbus for 8th spot and a point behind Detriot. 2 games left though...
I'm 1000+ posts behind you...taking baby steps though before I start posting "Agree" to every post I read/see to catch Goon!
Agree. IMO part of a solid D is keeping your offense on the field. There wasn't a team in the NFL that threw the ball more on 3rd and 1 (or 2) then GB. It's great to score on an 80 yard 5 play drive but sometimes you need to grind out a 1st down or a long sustained drive.
