Colton has been too good so far to sit IMO so my guess is he is on 4th line with the General and either Rodwell or Jim. ODonnell needs to step up! If Parks can play more than a period, he will be a nightmare for Holy Cross on the boards and down low when teamed with Knight and Kristo. When Rocco returns, I see him with Carter and Drake if the Mac boys and OD can produce. That would leave a 4th line of Colton, the General and Gaarder...not too bad.

I counted 9 times AP was bottled up behind the line of scrimmage and still got 7+ yards.
-
Woodson is cleared to play Sat. night. Cobb is still iffy. If AP runs for 150+ regardless of the outcome, I'll question the coaching ability of Capers. The offense is basically AP sprinked in a little Rudolph. Will be very disappointed if this game is within 10 points in the Packer's favor.

Again a MN HS coach is coaching these elite kids. You try to figure it out...
-
Saw yesterday on KVLY Bohl signed an 8 year contract extention. Anyone else catch this? Good lock down for SU IMO...even though contracts are made to be broken.
-
Hadn't heard that news...why? Huge blow if he can't go.
-
As for the FCS title tilt...if either team gets to 21 points they are lock to win IMO.

Lots of free time during the winter when harvest is over to pollute this site. Might be a busier day than normal for posting for all of them as no mail service to see if 1st aid check of year has arrived.

I like Cincy to win, GB to cover, Baltimore to cover and Washington to win. Houston is in free fall mode. GB at home...'nuf said. Indy and Seattle are different team on the road.
-
Got a hunch Woodson plays some next Saturday. Cobb will play...held him out for precautionary reasons today was the report.
-
Playoff rematch next Saturday at 7pm...will be at Ralph. Uhhhgggggg!
-
If DC Capers doesn't scheme anything better to hold AP to under 150 next week...can his a**! Screw the Bears!
-
AP is unreal. MVP IMO. Pack D channeled their inner UND D today. 3rd & 11 blown coverage on final drive was ball game. Pathetic...
-
Bottom line if the AC wins a 2nd consecutive Natty Muss leash will get even shorter. Another 5-6 or 6-5 season next year won't cut it for UND. At some point, even though we aren't playing rivals, the gap between the 2 programs has to start to close. And IMO that is going to require UND to step it up as I don't see SU taking major steps backwards any time soon.
-
All of this^^^^^^. Nicely stated. Let's say UND goes either 7-4 and/or 8-3 in each of the next 2 years and doesn't make the playoffs either year, is Muss retained with another contract extention?
-
I think those who think Muss is the guy for the long haul are optomistic based on the body of work to date...28-26 in 5 years. Those who don't think he is the guy, like myself, are coming to the realization that the status quo is more likely than the playoffs over the next 2 years of his contract. In some way shape or form, we all have expectations regardless of what Muss camp you're in...some expectations higher than others.
-
The issue IMO has to do more with schemes, play calling and placement of players than talent at UND...especially on D. If you are constantly going to play a 2 deep safety look but also have your corners 10-12 yards off the WRs all game, you want defend the pass or the run outside the tackles. Hence giving up 500+ yards a game.
-
Always fun when these games between the 2 teams mean something. Matthews and Shields were MIA last game...both back now and watch out for #21. He is due back soon.
-
No way Ponder actually resembles a NFL QB 4 weeks in a row. But if AP goes off again for 200 and change, a Vike's win is possible and would pair the 2 up at Lambeau in round one of playoffs.
-
If Seattle beats SF (up 14-0), GB will go into the Dome next week and beat Minny to clinch #2 NFC seed and knock Vikes outa playoffs.
-
Hak isn't walking thru the doors of the Betty to turn the switch with his annual 2nd half run! But I think it is fair to really look at the HCs UND has in place for it's major sports programs and ask are they truly D1 caliber?
-
Not disagreeing with you, but at this point what is there to talk about? If you are a Muss fan, you think things will turn around at some point. If you are not, no sense getting worked up at the obvious that it's status quo as long as he is the HC. I think UND has some better than average FCS talent in place, but coaching of that talent goes a long way. Heck look at Bohl with Jensen, there are a handful teams in the BS he wouldn't have even started for this season IMO and that includes UND. Coaching goes a long way...putting guys in the best postion possible to use their talents to be successful!
