This is a big day for NDSU, Fargo, ND and the FCS. Too many times in today's society "we" (generally speaking) get rewarded and praised for mediocrity...not in this case. Well deserved by NDSU! Least Muss had the recruiting chips of the "Nickle" and the Red Pepper out on the recruiting trail last night.

And this coming from critics who keep a tooth pick tucked behind one of their ears, have a "dress" pair of cowboy boots, and use Copenhagen as an after dinner mint!

Back to back NCs with the K-State, the defending B12 champs, win is why they are in Fargo as we speak...and deservedly so IMO.

Has underperformed in his 3 years to date at UND. NHL type body with better skill than his production so far. I think he'll have a decent year.

Muss will get to finish the season regardless of what happens from here on out and I hoenstly believe if his record isn't worse than last year (5-6), he'll be back regardless if they get thumped in their next two home games. I think Faison at this point has too big an ego and investment after just signing Muss to an extention to make a move after this year...unless things really go south like 4-7 or worse.

Good points. The terms class and Bison fans are rarely used in the same sentence. I think there is a very real possiblity you'll hear that chant Saturday morning on TV. Will be interesting to watch...

Again a 6-5 finish with big losses to the Griz, Cats and EWU...all at home...IMO will be enough for Muss to stick another year in our AD's eyes. Sad but that will probably be the reality and shows how mediocrity has overcome the FB program. Least I can watch Corso put on the big Bison head Saturday to reaffirm the widening gap between the 2 programs.

My money is on Lakes. That would be pure gold!! Lakes and Corso hashing it out!

And Muss provides a "stable situation" within and for the FB program? I get messgae boards are "bad" and Muss is "good" in your eyes and you are able to give those opinions here...along with everyone else and their opinions.

Not disagreeing with you, but what is this program's signature win since going D1 under Muss? Beating #16 Cal Poly a few years back??? Not overly impressive to say the least.

St Cloud. Friday night. Were a totally different squad Saturday even though they skated to a tie. Outplayed SCSU. Hak doesn't sugar coat things. His teams very rarely follow a poor game with another one.

Rooted in reality Muss is not... he might not be Brewster or Bohl but he makes you believe. Remember right after the Griz game..."we have the potential to be a pretty good FB team". Pour me another glass Muss, pour me another glass!!

IF there had been any prior glimpses of hope in the Muss era, most of this talk wouldn't be going on but when you are well under .500 vs. all FCS teams, have zero wins vs. FBS or for that matter vs. playoff FCS team, you lose to Sioux Falls, and you consistently get thumped by the upper crust of the BS...all while your "rival" to the south is piling up NCs...someone has to be held accountable not allowed to have more rope!

Are you serious??? I don't need a "study" as an excuse for Muss at this point. The "study" I'll use is Muss's 6 years of coaching which at best could be defined as marginal for a FCS coach.
