Your last statement is the biggest issue left in this nickname eqaution and with the complete lack of leadership I have seen from anyone on this committee my opinion is the "will of the people" means little to the "we know what is best" from the committee. I was expecting a whole lot more from Karl, Dave and Lowell.

That's why they are journalist.....they write the story to fit their point of view. Funny thing is it didn't use to be that way.

You are assuming Ridas is in the top 3 at the end............from what I have seen and heard the consulting firm will make it's best pitch to make sure that isn't the case and unfortunately I don't see enough people on the committee with the stones to disagree with what the consultants are pushing. "Here come your UND Fighting Green Sundogs"..............

My guess at what will be ultimately the final 3 to vote on: Green Hawks (Consultants pick) Nodaks (Pick to appease the "no nickname" crowd) Sundogs (Kelley/Russ/PC pick) There are not enough people on that committee to understand political correctness should not trump sound judgement and logic based on their own criteria set forth from the beginning.

Ridas is far and away the best option. Could live with North Dakota or North Stars. Remaining 4 make my gag.

Find me a state that has produced more "home grown" terrorists that have tried or are enabling ISIS and the like than MN.

The fact that the consulting firm, which is making a killing financially with this bogus process, questions the marketability of Ridas because of their perceived "dirty" connotation is absurd. The only thing I have seen that has been "dirty" in this process is the Kelley minions, Russ, et al shoving Sundogs down the peace pipes of everyone formally involved in this mess right now.
