The top team in the land visits the Ralph. Denver @ UND

This year, UND got three from the portal (TJ, MacDonald, Wilkie) and DU got two (Pohlkamp, Salminen). -

Yeah they're gonna be a tough out at the end of the season. UND responded very well tonight and played a much better game. Just didn't have the horses to get that tying goal. Time to win at least 5 of the next 6 games. BSU showed tonight that they are no push-over...they never are. Hopefully we can get some players back in the next couple weeks. -
BSU beats UMN, 3-1

Yep. Not sure which DU player it was that essentially was laying on top of Strinden in front of Davis for like 10-15 sec during play. Cmon Sioux, break this stupid DU winning streak so we don't have to hear anymore about it! -
BSU showing why they're a dangerous team if they score an early goal on you. They just go into a defensive shell the rest of the game. Still up 2-0 on UMN with 12min left in game. Chances of a late UMN PP?

DU is gonna try to lock it down. You knew there would be penalties called on UND after Carle made it a point to talk to the refs after period 1. Had two leads, but a stupid penalty for a PPG then a softie goal and now we're hoping to get a 3rd period comeback. We'll see. -

James looked like he was limping a little going down the tunnel at the end of the period...hope all is ok there. -

The next head coaching hire could possibly be a yoga master of some kind? To improve the mental health and state of mind of the team? -

A state of mind? So let's say you replace Montgomery (a player with like 8 games total of playing dman in his entire career) with Zmolek (one of the best defensive dmen in the entire league), that wouldn't matter in any of these missed assignments or situations? I'm not saying that UND couldn't beat DU with its current lineup. It absolutely could. And I'm not trying to rip on Monty, as he's done great stepping up into the role as others have gone down. -

Cutting down on the after the whistle crap would be great. Taking too many penalties...an area that they improved on last year...need to go back to that. And getting some of these players back from injuries. First step in gaining consistency would be being able to play a consistent lineup. Right now they're losing players every week. Even getting guys like Croal back, who showed some great potential & speed in his minutes, would be a boost. -
He got suspended a further game for that.

We’re not reduced to anything. I still think we finish top half…wouldn’t be surprised at finishing 2nd in the league. If we can get healthy…and stay healthy…2nd would be fine with me. It worked out for DU last year. -

Hard to keep lines intact with players dropping like flies with injuries. Regardless, this team still hasn't found its offensive flow. We've seen it in bursts, need it to happen for a few games in a row. We'll see if they can do that this season. Jury is still out on that. -

@Oxbow6, you'll get a kick out of this...appears that CHN is now showing xG in their box scores. First time I've noticed that. And it's probably broken, because xG barely gave DU the win tonight...3.6 to 3.3. https://www.collegehockeynews.com/box/final/20241115/den/ndk/ -

This team needs to play some desperate hockey tomorrow. A split would sure be a huge help later on down the road. Tough task for sure with how good DU is and how depleted our lineup looks right now. I'm just assuming that UND got 2-3 more injuries tonight? -
Dartmouth at 5-0 and just beat Cornell tonight. They're at #2 in PWR behind DU. UND moves down to #17...one spot ahead of a CC team that is 8-1 on the season.

Yep. He’s one that can’t have 0 goals after over a month of games. If he’s struggling at draws, pair him with someone that can win some draws and then they switch assignments after the faceoff. Easy enough. -

I think this team plays first round at home. DU is the class of the league. Miami and UMD are at bottom. We'll see how things stack up when we play SCSU, WMU, and CC...but from what I've watched of those teams, I think we can take points from them. -
Still shows us at 15 in PWR, but lots of games still to finish...including ours, of course.

CC's first loss of the season!

Man that breakaway to tie it would have been huge right after Strinden's goal. Instead it comes back the other way for the 2 goal cushion again. I'd agree...hopefully we see Hobie tomorrow but not sure it matters with how DU is playing right now and how short we are with injuries.
