I can agree that the Sioux played better against Mich than they did against HC in the final. But the important thing is that they played well enough to win, and that's all that matters. This will be a good game, both teams are playing very well both offensively and defensively right now. First team to 4 goals wins.

I heard a lot of Gopher fans saying "we'll see you at the ralph next weekend" when I was leaving the X after the Sioux won the Broadmoor. This is nice. Now the Sioux HAVE to take care of business. The path to the FF just opened up in front of them. Time to take advantage.

Hopefully he sticks around for another year. IMO he could really develop into one of, if not the, best college hockey player during his junior season. He certainly has the ability to do so. I would imagine that playing with your brother is an appealing option, but then again, so is money and the chance to play in the NHL this season. We'll see what happens during the course of the next few weeks. But I really hope that we don't lose Smaby, Stafford, and Zajac this off-season. That is 3 quality players to replace.

Yeah, I heard that as well. The coaches were smart to bring Darcy in next season. Let's hope it works. Plus, it would only be that much more confusing for Woog having two Zajac's on the team.

We can only hope that Irmen and Potulny will be gone after this season. They certainly are having good enough years to leave early. I don't expect any freshmen to leave for the Sioux, but I wouldn't be surprised if we lost the trio in Stafford, Smaby, or Zajac. I hope that we can keep one (maybe two...crosses fingers) of those 3 players.

I'd be up for it too. I wouldn't be able to make the Fri morning one though, as I will be driving in from Madison at that time. Sat morning would work better for me.

That is hopefully a good sign for Drew and the Sioux. I would love it if he was able to play at the Final Five, but if there is a chance to reinjure it, having him wait until the Regional might be best. Speed recovery Drew!
