  1. I'm thinking this is our final roster. With Klee already announced as captain of his jr team for next season, I'd guess that Littler comes in as well as fresh recruit Andrew. Forward (15): GR - Jamernik SR - Berg, Kunz, Schmaltz, Wilkie JR - McLaughlin, James, Strinden, Montgomery SO - Perron FR - Swanson, Boisvert, Croal, Littler, Andrew Defense (8): JR - Zmolek SO - Livanavage, Wiebe, Komzak, MacDonald FR - Jubenvill, Strathmann, Emery Goalie (3): SR - Semptimphelter JR - Johnson SO - Hedquist
  2. https://www.flohockey.tv/articles/12534528-2024-nhl-draft-prospect-scouting-reports-from-the-world-u18-championship Chris Peters draft scouting report from the U18 champs includes this bit on Emery:
  3. No disrespect to The Killer, but for 12 wins in a row, it should be a pic one of the best Twins to wear #12.
  4. Nice to see him having a great postseason thus far. Same with Swanson:
  5. Doesn't sound like we'll be moving to home site regionals anytime soon. Surprise, surprise, but the western leagues were pushing for the change...but the eastern leagues did not support it. Drinking the Wodon kool-aid. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/home-regional-idea-does-not-gain-traction-at-naples-meetings
  6. This sure is a different way to announce your portal transfer from NMU to RIT. Hints of trouble in NMU-land?
  7. There's literally 47 football items available for the 7 players. https://www.siouxshop.com/authentics/football/
  8. Jubenvill with another goal tonight:
  9. Swanson is the leading scorer in the USHL playoffs thus far. Nice.
  10. Nice. Another year to improve and gain experience. Will help him be ready to make an immediate impact in 2025 at UND. Littler coming this fall then? Or another portal forward?
  11. Like in another 4 months.
  12. I can't imagine Michigan throwing Werner a ton of NIL money to get him to leave CC. I'd guess that something else is going on that had him enter the portal.
  13. Pretty late to be entering the portal at this point. Assuming he knows where's he going then.
  14. Pinto and Sanderson on the US Men's National team roster:
  15. Emery, Laurila, and Heil on the U18 World team. Berry should try to flip Hensler with all the draft picks bolting UW lately.
  16. Yeah that is a tough start to the season. We'll see how we measure up against some quality Eastern teams right away with Prov, BU, and Cornell. Would immensely help out the PWR if we can get a winning record out of those 5 games.

  18. Looks like I'll be trying to get some ASU tickets in January. Haven't been to Mullett arena before, but it's only about 20min from my house. If anyone road trips down, let's grab some drinks!
  19. League game schedule gets released tomorrow:
  20. Devine returning is big for DU after they just lost Broz, S Buium, Behrens, and Rizzo early to the pros. I would guess that Z Buium would return as well since he's still so young, but who knows...maybe whoever drafts him will want him in their program right away.
  21. Good get for them.
  22. Forgot to answer this question. I think it was said that he played like 3-4 minutes in the game against MI, so even with Pyke out injured, he wasn't on the ice much at all.
  23. He wasn't to their level yet, for sure. And definitely a big part of that was because they all had substantially more NCAA playing time compared to him. It's a difficult path either way. If you play Benoit over a portal player, and he keeps making mistakes...does he become the scapegoat on here like so many before him? Remember Moore last year? Or Johnson the year before? I know these young players will make mistakes, it's part of the process...heck, even the experienced guys still made mistakes, especially down the stretch this year. But if a guy keeps repeatedly getting burned, at some point you have to get someone on the ice that isn't making (as many) mistakes. Like what happened with Johnson the second half of his year. For these decisions, ya have to trust the coaches. They know a heck of a lot more than all of us, and see these players every practice and every game to know which players to put on the ice to maximize our chances of winning. For sure. Schloss said that 40% of the 300+ players in the portal this year were 5th year COVID guys. Portal numbers should go down drastically in upcoming off-seasons.
  24. Blake seemed to do alright in his development the last couple years. Agreed. Benoit wasn't to the level of the other players. No knock on him, he could have stuck with it and attempted to improve or go elsewhere. Look at Komzak...he barely played but he's sticking with it (from the current looks of things), and hopefully he develops into a good upperclassmen for us. People are forgetting how much of a liability Moore was last season...it was pretty brutal at times. And then this year I only watched two QU games (NCAA tourney), and he had a horrible turnover in the defensive zone...passed it directly to a UW player for a goal. So it appears even the great Pecknold didn't magically turned him around. I would rather Berry put the lineup on the ice that has the best chance of success (both in that game and for the season development). I agree that he missed the mark two seasons ago playing Hain and Senden so much. And that might have directly led to Costantini leaving, which I feel was a decent size loss. But I didn't see anything this year in Benoit or Emerson that would warrant keeping them on the ice in place of other older/5th year/portal players.
