  1. Winning all the faceoffs in the offensive zone, leading to shots/chances. Keep this up.
  2. Yep. That was a good team. Not a very good Jan/Feb at all, but only lost twice in Mar/Apr...both times to DU.
  3. Boisvert again. He's heating up
  4. 1-0
  5. What we've seen on the ice so far could point to many things, doesn't necessarily have to be divided locker room. Speaking of divided locker room. I was a bartender at the Hub my last couple years of college. Some of the players would come in from time to time and the other bartender was roommates with a couple of the players. One night a group of 6 players came in and ordered burgers (best burgers in town back in those days!). Two of the players left without paying (dine n dash!), which pissed them all off. Two others paid their bills and left. The last two players split the two dashers and their bills to pay off the rest of the tab, so we hooked them up with a couple free beers to thank them. They proceeded to tell us all sorts of stories about the two dashers and how everyone on the team hated them...now THAT was a divided locker room from the stories they were telling. But...that team ended up making it all the way to the title game before losing to Denver.
  6. Why start doing that on Game 13, right?
  7. Boo.
  8. Hopefully it's not like Zmolek. He went from day to day, to week to week, to out indefinitely. He must have some sort of mystery ailment.
  9. Boys need to get Hobie his first win of the season and the team needs to get back above .500. They can do both tonight.
  10. Ouch yeah. Maybe give Jammer a shift here and there with them? Wonder how many shifts he'll get after last night.
  11. Agreed for sure. With all the Hakstol F4 tourney success before that followed by Berry finally getting the team over that final hump…that should have been a springboard to getting a few blue chippers on board in those next few classes. Sure didn’t happen though.
  12. You’ve mentioned this before but never really elaborated.
  13. Bad luck? What are you talking about? Please show me anywhere I’ve ever posted that our lack of recent tournament success was due to “bad luck”. It should be easy for you to find being that I do it on a regular basis.
  14. There were a couple stinker recruiting classes in there that seemed to put the program back a bit IMO. A couple after the 2016 title and then again after the COVID dominant years. Seems to be an uptick lately at least, we have some very solid recruiting classes on campus and incoming. Hopefully that translates on the ice at some point... I'd still take our last decade over BU and UM...they may have more F4 in that span, but we still have the 2016 title while BU's latest was 2009 and UM's 1998. DU, obviously, is on another level recently.
  15. That is unfortunately pretty accurate from what we've seen the last few years. Eaves "sucky" years were ones that UW finished below .500 (sometimes well below). Seems that Berry's sucky years are one-n-dones or narrowly missing the tourney. Berry was unfortunate that his last "peak" seasons were right when COVID hit which resulted the whole season being cancelled in our best recent year and then the 5OT debacle the following year. If he was gonna win it, it needed to be in one of those two years.
  16. No, a lot of those players played more years at their second school than they did at UND. Example...Blaisdell two years at UND, three years at UNH. Tychonick two years at UND, three years at UNO. Etc. Also, the vast majority played their underclassmen years at UND, then transferred out to different schools for their upperclassmen years. I think we've all seen how much better NCAA players get (typically) for their JR/SR/GR seasons when compared to their FR/SO years. Just look at Caggiula.
  17. Zellers with more heroics last night:
  18. I'm confused. Last weekend there was an article about the PP woes. This weekend, there's an article about how the PP is ranked #4 in the country. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/power-play-bails-und-out-in-series-opening-win-over-robert-morris Either way...not enough 5x5 goals. And not even talking about the poor PK.
  19. Worked a couple times last night. If teams start to key in on that, they can utilize bumper guy...they've done that a couple times too, although I don't recall it working for a goal as of yet. Boisvert is such a natural goal scorer. Will be fun to watch his progress over the next couple (hopefully) seasons.
  20. The streak ends.
  21. I was talking about how Jammer's injury will prob be long-term...because it seems most of the injuries have been long term lately. Wasn't talking about tonight's results...we should have easily still had the horses to hang 5-6 on RMU.
  22. Miami has that locked up, again.
  23. Either they got cocky after their epic sweep. Or something about us not being very good at all.
  24. Until he wakes up tomorrow morning and can barely walk... I really hope it's just a bruise. But, if that's the case...
  25. The hockey gods will turn on them soon. They have to.
