  1. Sioux are in BLACK jerseys tonight. They are 2-0-1 in black this season.
  2. From Brad's recap...VV didn't have a sog last night. Ouch. Hopefully he can right the ship with a couple (goals, that is) tonight.
  3. I liked your earlier pick, you should have stuck with it.
  4. He's definitely a short, shifty player: http://www.pointstreak.com/prostats/player...p;seasonid=4429 Pointstreak has him listed at 5-6.
  5. Will he follow his brother to CC?
  6. VandeVelde He's got to get out of his slump sometime. Might as well be tonight.
  7. 2-0 SCSU Nice play.
  8. DU PPG, 1-0 over UW.
  9. No sog on a 3x1 rush for UND? What happened to our offense?
  10. I stand corrected. Big kill for the Sioux.
  11. Well that could be game there. I doubt Cornell's PP is as horrid as ours.
  12. Nice PP guys. Good momentum builder for Cornell.
  13. Our PP really blows recently. Need to pick it up.
  14. 9-2 UND in sog?
  15. Go Dell, make the most of your opportunity.
  16. Hopefully the Sioux used up all of their bad puck luck during the Sat game against UMN. No more double post shots, no more bouncing over sticks, no more crazy deflections. Just work hard, and the puck luck will follow.
  17. That's brutal.
  18. This is like a never-ending debate. If we have too many players that stay only 2 years, then we hear that we need more 4yr role players that develop experience. If we have too many role players, then we need to recruit more blue chippers. I think Hakstol has done a good job of recruiting a mix of both. In regards to Eidsness, yes he's had a rough stretch here of giving up an untimely/soft goal recently, but to say that he has peaked when he has only 1.5 years under his belt is a reach IMO. Less than a year ago he was backstopping this team to a MacNaughton Cup. I haven't given up hope on him or Dell yet. I wouldn't mind seeing Dell get a game this weekend just to see what he can do in a hostile opposing building.
  19. Gregoire
  20. Blowing 2 goal leads? Eidsness not playing well? Sioux don't generate enough offense? http://www.areavoices.com/undhockey/?blog=68950
  21. Agreed on all these points. While it might be harder for people to get off work for both Thurs and Fri now (time for me to burn another vacation day for the F5 next year!), this format would work the best IMO. Have 2 games on Thurs/Fri, and then just one (the champ) on Saturday. No need for a 3rd place game. Gives people a chance to chill out and check out other things during the day on Saturday. Plus, having a 3rd place game would make two more teams have the potential to play three games in three days. That's brutal, especially if they ended up going three games during the 1st round WCHA playoff.
  22. Maine has been bad the last two years, but this year appear to be a bit better. They are currently sitting in 4th in HEA.
  23. No doubt, from a spectating viewpoint it's not as fun to only see DU, CC, UMN, and UW only once during the season, but that will certainly help make the schedule a bit easier. UMD got tossed a freaking cupcake with that cluster. Well, three cupcakes to be exact.
  24. A good OOC lineup with Maine, Notre Dame, Robert Morris, UAA (Nye), UAF, and Duluth (HOF game). The UAA and UMD games would both count as OOC since they are non-WCHA games. That's a tough early season schedule with Maine, Denver, Duluth, and Wisconsin all in a row. Ouch.
