I would be thrilled if both Gregoire and Kristo come back next season. They would form a formidable offensive tandem that a young team could build off of...especially with a stud like Grimaldi coming in. That said, anything can happen in the offseason. Gregoire would honestly be a Hobey candidate if he came back. He's such a great 2-way player. Kristo...not sure if he would want to jump ship this year after his frostbite incident and the slow start he had points-wise. But anything is possible when money is thrown your way.

It looks like at most there would be two #1 WCHA seeds and at most two #4 WCHA seeds. If that happens, I doubt the committee would match up them up in the first round. I'd guess that Yale and BC would get them in the first round, unless they really want Yale to play the AHA champ. It looks like four or five teams would be the WCHA number this year (four if the season ended today). And they are spread out decently... UND #1 seed DU & UNO #2 seeds UMD #3 seed And then the potential for either CC/UMN/SCSU to be a #4 seed. Of course, a lot can change in a couple weeks.

Agreed. And then (since the highest that they could climb might be the #14 or #15 spot in the PWR), they would face off against BC in the 1st NCAA game (using the current PWR). Ouch.

I think Frattin deserves the Hobey this season. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if it is given to Miami's Andy Miele. He's put up a ton of points in a good conference.

No. I don't think that Tech will beat UND in the next four games. But I'm just saying that anything is possible in the WCHA.

I think getting the #1 seed for the WCHA playoffs is key. One, you get a trophy/banner. Two, the jump in team skill from MTU in 12th to SCSU/MSUM/BSU in 11th is pretty substantial. I would much rather play MTU in the 1st round than either of those three teams. Even though we'd be playing MTU 4-5 games in a row...still better than finishing 2nd. Third, you avoid the Thursday night games at the Final Five. At most you have to play two games in the Final Five, saving some energy for the following weekend's regionals. Last year the Sioux just depleted themselves down the stretch. While it was awesome watching them win the Broadmoor, all those games in 9 days really hampered them in their game against Yale IMO.

Has anyone watched a B2 webcast from SCSU? Just wondering the quality before I plunk down $7... Thanks!

If the Sioux are there, I'll be there. If not, I think I'll have to pass unfortunately due to travel/work requirements.
