Nice job by the ladies to sweep BSU and advance!
-
According to Brad, Dickin is out tonight.

When did Carter Rowney get so good?
-
While I'm not the biggest Eidsness lover (flops too much and gives up the big rebounds), I have to say he played pretty well tonight. He did get some help from a couple posts. Lammy did not have a good game. The 10min misconduct + the blown coverage on the Zucker goal were pretty horrible. The top line was dominant all game. Gwoz looked ticked all game. I love it. Hopefully Dickin isn't out for extended time as well...we have no room for that. Great win, now it's time to go for the sweep tomorrow and make Chambers eat crow after jinxing DU with his "most remarkable streak in sports" blog article this week. http://blogs.denverpost.com/colleges/2012/02/23/du-pioneers-on-one-of-the-most-remarkable-streaks-in-american-sports/23075/

I wouldn't classify Rau's play as goonish (yet), but he certainly is a fan of hitting people along the boards after the whistle or well after that player has gotten rid of the puck. He did it again tonight against UNO.

I don't think either of those would be stretches assuming UND makes the NCAA's...
-
And, of course, we'd have to get by Ferris St first. I remember the last time we faced Ferris in the 1st round of the NCAA's...didn't end so well for our Sioux.

Dell seems to play very well on Friday nights and then not so well on Saturday. If I were Hak, I would start Dell Friday and Eidsness on Saturday.

One of our most recent recruits, Adam Tambellini, listed PSU as a potential school. http://undhockey.are...es.com/?p=89993

This thread seems to have taken a turn away from prospective Sioux recruits... Anyone have any more info on Lemieux? I hope this former-NHL parent recruit doesn't turn out like the last one with Matteau.

No one is faster than Cygan. I remember that guy flying around the ice when UAA visited the Ralph.

Wow. Bjugstad and Rau must have been targeting Zucker with those hits. Rau's was way after the whistle too. What a dangerous hit. Hopefully Zucker is ok.

Remember when Patterson had like 5 shutouts in a month to start the season or something along those lines? What happened to him? He's been letting in a lot of softies lately.
-
Didn't Gopher fans rip Kristo after he slammed his stick after getting kicked out for a CFB in the Gopher series? Called him a baby or something like that. I wonder if we'll see the same comments for Helgeson? I would guess not.

Great win, and thanks for the updates! Much appreciated. Just for all those cheapshots...let's get the sweep tomorrow.

I get CBS Sports. Unfortunately, our cable box died last night. Despite Cox saying that they would be out today to fix it...they canceled at the last minute and won't be out until Monday now. WTF. So no game for me.

Fighting Sioux Hockey is having an oustanding season!
brianvf replied to Hayduke's topic in Non-collegiate sports
I can't believe they lost to the Monarchs...they're kind of crappy this year. The Sioux probably lost some key players to injuries or something. Also thought this was funny: I guess Lucia was right...every time a fight happens, the Sioux are involved. -
Should Hakstol be considered for National Coach of the Year?
brianvf replied to siouxnami's topic in Men's Hockey
This is complete bunk. The Sioux lost three forwards before the season even began (Miller, St. Clair, DiPuma), have since lost another three forwards to season-ending injuries (Grimaldi, Rodwell, O'Donnell), typically are playing 2 or 3 defensemen as forwards, are playing multiple walk-on players to fill roster spots, etc. IMO, if Hakstol can coach this team into the NCAA's, it will be one of his finest coaching performances since coming to UND. I'm not saying that he will win Coach of the Year, or even that he should be nominated...but the amount of adversity that this team has endured this year is remarkable. -
You are correct.

Why do they let Roman near a press box?

CC beats DU 2-0 with an ENG.

http://nahlalexan.stats.pointstreak.com/playerpage.html?playerid=5409792&seasonid=7317 Tied for 6th on the team in points. Appears to be more of a playmaker...only 2 goals but 19 assists. I didn't even realize Trupper had a younger brother!
