  1. The Yale/Vermont game is brutal. It looks like two big HS teams on the ice. Flipping back and forth with the DU/Miami game, the speed levels between the two games is pretty significant.
  2. Miami 4 DU 1 11min left in 3rd VT 2 Yale 0 11min left in 2nd
  3. Lee just rang iron. 13min left. Still 4-1 Miami.
  4. Vermont 2 Yale 0
  5. Ostrow is bleeding all over the ice!
  6. Cheverie letting rebounds fly out left and right. The whole DU team forgot to show up tonight.
  7. No, he was not drafted. But he is being "courted" by several NHL teams, and I would be VERY surprised if he came back for another year at DU.
  8. 1. Bob Norton is horrible. 2. DU is playing really crappy. Miami doesn't look great, but since DU didn't show up, it doesn't matter. 3. Air Force is going to beat the Vermont/Yale winner IMO. Both those teams look very slow. Air Force looked fast and took advantage of their chances. 4. I will laugh if DU loses tonight and then Bozak goes pro right away...as the DU fans made a pretty big deal about him coming back for the playoffs. 5. Whoever has to face the AF/VT/Yale regional winner in the F4 will have a much easier path to the title game. While I am glad that Air Force beat UM, UM outchanced them pretty significantly.
  9. Wow, not a good day for #1 seeds thus far.
  10. One NCAA win wouldn't fulfill their hockey dynasty article. Of course, it might in their mind.
  11. Not sure who to root for in this game. Either root for the fellow WCHA member, or not. I really don't like DU. I would much rather see UMD leave this regional.
  12. Almost, but not quite. Air Force has been really close the past two seasons in knocking off both UMN and Miami (OT) in the first round. They haven't gone down lightly in either game. This shouldn't come as a huge surprise to the people that saw them play the last two seasons. That said, I love seeing a #1 seed like Michigan fall in the 1st round. Go Air Force...would like to see them in the F4 over Vermont/Yale.
  13. They're all on TV. ESPN2, ESPNU, and ESPN Classic are televising all the regional games...
  14. Wow, that's news to me. Hopefully he's healed up enough to play well this weekend!
  15. I remember that one too. Very similar. Oshie was a really fun player to watch at UND. Seems he didn't lose that trait with the Blues.
  16. Looks like CC's Bachman might be going pro now too: http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dw...fs.3ee9ec3.html Would be a big blow for the Tigers for next season. They already lost Brian Connelly, a jr dman, a few days ago.

    2009 Flood

I hadn't realized that the 97 flood wasn't the highest in Fargo, it was from the 1800's. That's crazy. Good luck to all Fargo and GF residents. I had the flood cam active at work all day... http://www.grandforksherald.com/pages/floodcam
  19. I don't think there are many auto-wins in the tourney anymore. The last few years have produced some really good games between 1 seeds and 4 seeds. Heck, last year ND made it to the title game as a 4 seed!
  20. From the Sioux blog: If Watkins is skating in practice, hopefully he can give it a go against UNH.
  21. Hilarious. Excessive use of punctuation is never a good idea.
  22. Time to forfeit!
  23. Matvick did a nice job calling this goal: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uZBMaaAzhE
  24. I was at Tom Reid's between games on both Friday and Saturday as well. Good wings and burgers. Decently priced stuff on their events menu.
  25. Duluth came close in 1984, losing to Bowling Green 5-4 in OT in the title game, but haven't won one yet. http://www.augenblick.org/chha/ncaa_chm.html
