  1. That is an awesome story.
  2. This article certainly sounds promising! http://www.grandforksherald.com/articles/i...;section=sports
  3. I can get you in contact with a lady that will give you $10k for it.
  4. Justin Abdelkader, a jr forward from MSU, signed with the Red Wings: http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/20...r_to_amate.html
  5. If he's already practicing, I would be surprised if he didn't play against BC. The official word will be the lineup card.
  6. Yes, that was after the 05/06 season that we lost 5 players to early departures.
  7. Not by me. Or Hakstol, as he did that for the 3rd period on Sun. I really like these lines that were posted earlier: Oshie with Duncs and Kozek Kaip with Frattin and Watkins Vande with Trupp and Martens Zajac with Radke and Malone Keep Kozek with the top line. He brings a significant 3rd scoring threat to that line. I really like Kaip's line with two speedsters in Frattin and Watkins. This line could match up and keep up with the Gerbe line from BC, and Kaip and Watkins are both great defensive forwards as well. VV and Trupp together could create some chances, and Martens has proven to be a good passer and stickhandler. The fourth line could go out there to bog down and grind the opposition. Radke looks good on this line for that reason. Hakstol could sub with Miller if he wants to add some speed to the line and possibly match it up with a different BC line.
  8. Yep, VV was moved to the 3rd line at the start of the 3rd when Hakstol put Kozek with Osh/Dunc and moved Frattin with Kaip/Watkins. Then he rolled 3 lines.
  9. I would love to see that. Especially after a Sioux win over BC. UND vs ND for the title.
  10. Exactly. Scalpers will have plenty of tickets, and they will be unloading them for cheap before the games. With no CO teams playing, a good chunk of CC/DU/AF fans will be dumping their tickets.
  11. Wow, they certainly signed Turris quickly after leaving Wheeler in Minnesota for three years. I wonder if Blake will sign now too?
  12. Did you get to watch the game yesterday? Oshie was insane in the 3rd period. He would enter the zone and go around 3 or 4 Badgers before making a play. The Badger fans around us were seriously impressed with his stickhandling ability. He even did that same move that he did against UMN that caused Wooger and Mazzacco to crap themselves (youtubed somewhere...found it: this move). It looked like he took the team on his back a bit, and it was great to see. I hope he can continue that type of play in Denver.
  13. 14 hours from Madison. We're doing it! Whoo-hoo!
  14. Who cares where they practice? As long as the ice size is the same, it shouldn't matter. Go Sioux!!!
  15. Awesome picture! That will be going on my background at work to annoy all those pesky Badger fans.
  16. How was the BC gwg? I might have to watch that just to see Miami's season end.
  17. Don't even pay face value. Tickets will be really cheap in front of the stadium. Last year in StL they were selling champ game tickets for $20 and semi-final tickets for $10. With Denver, CC, and Air Force all getting knocked out, there will be a BOATLOAD of tickets available, so prices will be cheap.
  18. No, the ref blew the whistle a good second or two before UW punched it in. The ref waived it off immediately.
  19. Another thing...my friend and I couldn't believe the attendance. We were practically all alone in the upper 300 level. And we could see empty seats in the 100/200 levels. Crazy. Regardless of the basketball tourney, that's pretty pathetic. And Madison wants to call itself a hockey town...
  20. Well that was awesome. Just got back from the game. Didn't look good after 2 periods...got some crap from some Badger fans during that intermission. Tying it up within 5 min of the 3rd was awesome, and then the gwg in OT in under 2 min. Incredible. The Badger fans filed out pretty quickly. I think they knew that they didn't truly belong in the tourney, let alone the F4. Regardless, a great effort from them. And they did us a favor by beating DU, who seem to have the Sioux's number recently in the playoffs. See you in Denver!!!!
  21. Here is another article talking about Princeton's speed: http://www.nj.com/sports/times/index.ssf?/....xml&coll=5 I posted this on USCHO as well, but if Princeton isn't the fastest team that I've seen all year, I'm going to be disappointed with how much it was built up. Something tells me that they are not going to be as quick as CC or Michigan. That's all we've heard about them...how fast they are. I'm interested to see how they look on the ice.
  22. I agree with you. But they didn't score more than 3 goals.
  23. CC looked terrible. MSU looked ok. Lerg played amazing. If Lerg was just a bit off on a couple of those, CC would have been off to the races in the first/second period. Even though CC looked like crap, they were still getting a boatload of quality chances, which says something about MSU IMO.
