  1. I think we actually have to have offensive chances before we can use the hot goalie excuse.
  2. I disagree. Neither team wants to win. This game is boring as all hell. Get ready for some serious trap action now.
  3. The Sioux had better hope that they score the first goal or two, otherwise this is going to be a boring game with them clogging their offensive zone and forcing everything to the outside. Need to convert on a couple odd-man rushes and force Tech to play a more open game.
  4. I really hope that Tech doesn't score this game, as the announcer already sounds like an excited little girl when the action heats up. If they managed to score, he might break my speakers with his high shrill.
  5. Maybe they only break out the blacks when they are below .500.
  6. From Brad: Quite a few changes in the lineup today, including moving Duncan to center on a different line. UND's lines 17 Jason Gregoire--16 Ryan Duncan--21 Matt Frattin 20 Matt Watkins--11 Darcy Zajac--8 Ryan Martens 15 Brent Davidson--22 Brad Malone--10 Andrew Kozek 19 Evan Trupp--29 Chris VandeVelde--26 Brett Hextall 3 Derrick LaPoint--5 Chay Genoway 2 Joe Finley--14 Brad Miller 6 Zach Jones--25 Jake Marto 31 Brad Eidsness 30 Aaron Walski
  7. I don't hold coaches responsible for the players not playing with emotion. If he puts out a crappy lineup, doesn't develop the players, gets out-coaches, makes bad decisions...then by all means blame Hakstol. But if the Sioux can't put forth a good effort on a regular basis, I put more blame on the players themselves. They are 18-23 year old men, they shouldn't need a coach yelling at them to get them to play with some intensity. Most of them have been playing hockey for the vast majority of their lives, they should know by now that you can't give a 90% effort and still expect to win...even against a uber-crappy MSU team.
  8. While I don't think that Kozek is quite "fourth line material" (he was our leading goal-scorer last year, and wasn't even on a regular PP unit), I agree that he doesn't appear to be the best fit with VV/Duncan. I would like to see Gregoire or Trupp up there with Duncan & VV to see what they can do.
  9. I think the obvious answer then is to just not play the games at all. How do forfeits count on the W/L record?
  10. Obviously you didn't watch the Tech/UM game from earlier. They looked worse than the Sioux did. I'm not guaranteeing that the Sioux will win tomorrow, but it might be a better game. "This team is crap."
  11. That wasn't even HGS...Lerg didn't have to make many tough saves at all.
  12. What is most likely to happen: MSU scores another goal within the first 5min. The Sioux score a goal with 6min remaining. They then pull the goalie. MSU scores an ENG. Game over. 4-1 MSU win. PROVE ME WRONG, SIOUX!!
  13. I don't think a tie helps us in the PWR.
  14. I don't think he's really been tested tonight. Most of the Sioux shots are from far out, and when they get in close they aren't getting connecting on passes.
  15. I think I might just watch the game with the audio muted.
  16. I'm glad there's a webcast for this game. Listening on the radio might have been confusing with a Trupp and a Tropp on the ice.
  17. Both frosh dmen sitting tonight with Finley back. Hopefully he gets back up to speed quickly. Go Sioux!
