  1. And now Conboy has left MSU after being suspended: http://www.uscho.com/news/college-hockey/i...Suspension.html He was only a freshman this year.
  2. You just copied that from my response to redhawkman in the Miami thread on USCHO! I swear, that guy just hates the Sioux for no reason. I will laugh if the Sioux make the NCAA's, as he has been writing the Sioux off for months now.
  3. I don't really care that Gwoz didn't get suspended. I just wish that he would have been given an extra minor penalty for delay of game when he walked on the ice. A full 2min 5x3 PP for the Sioux there would have been nice... But wow, Conboy and Tropp suspended for the rest of the season...Comley is laying it down there. Nicely done.
  4. Impressive, especially being that it was at CC. The Tigers are tanking hard...something like 3-10 in their last 13 games. Kind of surprising given the talent on that roster...Bachman, Rau, Sweatt, Walsky. I guess they aren't getting any production aside from their top line and Bachman is not having a good soph season (compared to last year).
  5. From the given list, I would say either Panzer or Roche.
  6. I asked for five points. The Sioux couldn't do it though, they just don't have the talent to do that this year.
  7. I fully expect to see at least 3-4 of these "Earl-like" Roe dives. Go Sioux!! Also, go Seawolves, beat those Pios at least once!!
  8. I'm guessing the Friday night game will be joined in progress, since it only lists it from 8-10. They are replaying it as well from midnight to 2:30am.
  9. We already have another Toews. Players like Oshie, Parise, Toews, etc don't come around all that often. And often times, when they do, they opt for MJ instead of collegiate. How many current NCAA players would fall under the "uber-elite" recruit status? Maybe JVR, Wilson, Schroeder, etc? Not many. And chances are that all three will be playing AHL/NHL next season. I would love to see the Sioux land another Parise, but I also am excited to see what the current crop of recruits can do, because there are some high quality players in that bunch.
  10. I would have put VV as a potential early departure prior to this season, but seeing how the season has played out, I would think his chances of leaving early have lessened a bit. He has still had a very good season, but I think another year of collegiate play could really push him to be a dominant power forward in the WCHA. The only other player that I could see being mentioned would be Genoway, but due to his size, I see him sticking around for his senior season as well. I agree with AZSIOUX that we could see very few (or no) early departures this upcoming offseason.
  11. I guess Cichy, Kristo, Forbort, and Mattson don't count as high end recruits.
  12. Sounds like a solid forward. Nice pickup!
  13. We definitely have some highly skilled forward recruits coming in. Cichy, Kristo, and Mattson look to be great players...
  14. Nice synopsis. I agree about Marto and Eidsness. Regarding the bolded text...isn't this the same team that "has no talent"?
  15. I doubt Forney would have to take a recruiting trip to UND if he was interested in coming back to the Sioux.
  16. Not to mention we handed Cornell their only loss of the season so far, in a beatdown no less.
  17. Marto for DPOTW, Eidsness for ROTW, and maybe Frattin as a "honorable mention" for OPOTW. Lasch had a big weekend for SCSU (despite getting swept).
  18. Holy Bubble-tastic, Batman. A win or two over DU could do wonders to that as well...
  19. The link that Sicatoka provided doesn't list the player numbers. I think that is why Sicatoka said "good luck".
  20. The Sioux move into a tie with Alaska Fairbanks for 16th in the PWR after tonight's win.
  21. Canisius beating Air Force again tonight, now leading 3-1 after 2. MSUM kills UAA, 7-1. Miami and Mich both win tonight after last night's losses. BU beat BC, which should help us.
  22. The top 5 in the WCHA is really tight now, only separated by 3 points. UW and CC have both played two more games than DU, UMN, and UND. This upcoming series against DU could really position UND well in the WCHA race if they can get 3 or 4 points.
  23. A couple good games against DU next weekend could do wonders for the PWR too...just like when they swept UMN. The MacNaughton is up for grabs right now. If the Sioux can do well in their remaining series against CC, UW, and DU, they could certainly take it home.
  24. And with Kangas giving up 5-6 goals per game, I like our chances of overtaking them.
