Speaking of Grimaldi and Mattson, Brad talks of both on his latest update: UND recruits Grimaldi and Koules play DU Saturday and CC on Sunday in exhibitions. Hopefully they can light the lamp and show those schools a glimpse of what is to come.

It would be great to see him take off this season and then carry that progress into UND next season. Speaking of good starts, Grimaldi is killing it so far in the USHL.

That's got to suck for BSU. He's there on an official recruiting visit, but yet he has already stated that BSU is not in his final two choices.

Last season as the Fighting Sioux? I guess there's only one thing left to do then... "Win the whole f'ing thing"

Time for the fans to put on a good show in Bemidji and make him realize he wants/needs to be a Sioux! Would be a great recruiting get for UND if they can land him over UMN.

I hope schools like Georgia Tech, VT, OK, Iowa St, UNI, ASU, CA, USC, UCLA, and UWa each have a alum willing to donate $80-90 million like PSU did...otherwise that blogger is reaching thinking that they will add D1 hockey anytime in the near future (if at all).

Looks like it's official. Now we just have to hope that they don't screw up the rest of college hockey.

I doubt we'd see a 20-team NCAA playoff field unless we passed well over 75 D1 teams. A 16-team field with only 59 D1 schools is already pushing it. For awhile, people were talking that they might go back to a 12-team field if schools kept threatening to drop their men's hockey programs.

For those people that want to see a dman recruit or two added, there are only two uncommitted dmen on the roster. Also on the team is Matt Van Voorhis, who was rumored to be a Sioux fan before committing to DU. UND plays an exhibition against the U18 team on 12/18. The team plays a pretty good schedule of D1 teams...it will be interesting to see how well Rocco does against them.

I'm all for a new conference (or a new-look WCHA) if the BTHC occurs. I'd only wonder where our conference tourney would be held.

There were some rumors floating around the internet that Grimaldi had attended the WHL's Portland Winterhawks training camp. It appears that we have a new recruited player: Welcome aboard, Miles! With him being on the U17 team, I would guess the earliest that we would see him at UND would be 2012 or 2013. Yeah, I thought that was funny too. Reading his blogs/articles, Roman can be kind of a toolshed sometimes, so not surprising. Either way, it doesn't matter, the kid always wanted to be a UMN player, so no worries. I'll take Forbort over him anyway.
