  1. That's my guess on the third negative. Then I wonder what the fourth negative that he alluded to would be.
  2. Lucius signed and Broz entered the portal.
  3. I wonder if this opens up the door for Spicer to stay somewhat close to home and go to UMN now. He already has a couple teammates heading there next season and they are suddenly in need of some more forwards.
  4. Wonder if his bro even ends up at UMN now.
  5. Wow, there have been rumors about Lucius (and his family) being upset at UMN for whatever reason...many thinking that he would leave or enter the portal after his freshman season. He just signed with the Jets. UMN lost two 1st/2nd round freshmen today alone.
  6. 2nd round pick Tristan Broz from UMN (only a freshman last year) enters the portal. He seemed to struggle a bit last year but some good upside for his upperclass years in college.
  7. I wouldn't understand the logic of James going MJ at this point, especially when all signs show that he will be coming in this fall to UND anyway. Maybe if UND wanted him to wait a year as well, but that doesn't appear to be the case.
  8. He’s ramping up his effort now. Has to impress any potential suitors.
  9. And there it is: Budy enters transfer portal https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-forward-brendan-budy-enters-transfer-portal?fbclid=IwAR26tFgEeswvT8rygZHRDffQxzzeFLcYy_VGECqELtauJWqohcK_S_rruJc The move we were somewhat expecting. Now that leaves us at 16F if we bring in all four freshmen forwards.
  10. I like that addition to the schedule and playing a new team like Lindenwood. Even cooler that is has the UND connection with Zombo coaching them. I'm more excited to see a fresh face on the schedule rather than Bemidji again. As long as this doesn't happen again:
  11. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/college-hockey-coaches-hear-about-the-potential-transformation-of-ncaa-sports Lot of changes being discussed at the coaches convention: These changes would definitely benefit the bigger "blue blood" programs compared to the smaller.
  12. Right? That's crazy. 5 goals in two seasons with UND (48 games) 6 goals in two seasons with WMU (71 games) He's been playing in Poland ever since his NCAA career ended. A couple guys on that list had immediate impacts in NCAA hockey...others took a year or two to get up to speed. But none of them just disappeared like Cichy.
  13. From Schloss: Certainly some offensive talent coming in next year. It'll be fun watching them progress and seeing how well their game translates to the college level.
  14. He just turned 19yo, so he certainly could have come in this year. Another year in juniors certainly couldn't hurt him though (just like Spicer! ), as his stats this year finally started to look a bit better.
  15. Then just don't have one of the super regionals in Minnesota every year. Problem solved.
  16. Daschke and Linden had the highest point totals in the portal for a D and F.
  17. Good pickup for them.
  18. With all this speculation about Pearson, Berry should put in a feeler for the Fantilli brothers in case they want to avoid all the drama surrounding this Michigan debacle. Do a swap, Montgomery and Budy for Luca & Adam. That'd put us at 16F / 9D / 4G since Luca is a D, but I'm sure Berry could do some juggling and make it work.
  19. I’m confused. I thought recruits decommitting only happened to UND?
  20. Gonna be a lot of movement in these last 9 days before May 1st. Players need to pick a new team otherwise they'll have to sit a year. Doubt we see many new players added to the portal at this point.
  21. I don’t agree. Did you read the article? And McKays statement? The 6mo suspension is more than enough punishment IMO.
  22. Or play two years at ASU while trying to acclimate to the college game, then transfer back to your home town school in hopes of actually winning a championship for your upperclassman years.
  23. He can't even get to the title game with the most talented college hockey team in the history of the sport! We don't want him!
