  1. While I certainly feel for our seniors and seniors on other teams, that would create more problems. Much like all the over-reaction to corona hype will cause more issues than the actual virus.
  2. It’s not an opinion, it’s fact. There are people that haven’t gotten tested or won’t get tested but still have it. The true number of cases will always exceed the reported cases.
  3. You’re assuming that the reported cases is equal to the number of true cases though. The number of true cases is much higher.
  4. The season that these boys just had was special indeed. Seasons like this one don't come around often. Would they have won the national title...who knows, but they were certainly one of the frontrunners. Really have to feel for the players, especially the seniors. Great season, team.
  5. No use buying the stock if you don’t believe the market will recover.
  6. Sounds like Miller is close behind.
  7. Suspend is different than cancelling though. The NBA can just suspend for a few weeks and then resume. Could the NCAA do that? Maybe, but rescheduling all the arenas would be harder than the NBA just continuing their seasons in their own arenas. Crazy times.
  8. Yeah no doubt, gonna be a lot more people tuning in now!
  9. https://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2020/03/11_Breaking-Harvard-Forfeits.php This is pretty dumb. Close the arena to the public? Sure, I guess if you think that will help slow the virus. But for the Harvard admins to ban the team from playing in the postseason? That's ridiculous. They could have had a shot at winning the conference title and advancing to the NCAA postseason...instead their season is done. Word is that Yale might follow suit and withdraw as well.
  10. For sure, gotta get out of that dumpster fire. Caufield next?
  11. It'd go to Cornell if they use the poll. They would have reason to be elated with that news, being that it's the only way they'll come close to a national title this season.

  13. I'm down in Phoenix, and I hear so many conflicting stories about this rink and when ground is supposedly going to break on it. Most people even have different spots where it is going to be located. Also, $110m for a 5k seat arena? Now there's a contractor making sweet bank on that deal!
  14. When Northeastern scored first, I think it just ticked UND off and then that game was over.
  15. Gabinet strikes me as the type of person to be petty enough to leave a worthy candidate like Pinto off his list. Just look at how he skipped the coaches handshake at the last series...or how he's the only opposing coach to not go to the Sioux Boosters luncheons. I wonder if this hurts Pinto's shot at NCHC RoY? Since Brink and Attard were both unanimous selections. Not sure how that voting goes.
  16. Here we go: Thome on Friday after his shutout against Omaha. Status of Gooch and Frisch. Wilkie coming back to REA trying to extend his collegiate career. Holding onto PWR #1. Time to take home the NCHC Frozen Faceoff title for once. Lots of story lines!
  17. That's just crazy. Potential recruits can't get excited about going to a college that has less people attend the games than their HS or junior teams.
  18. We’re? Then it doesn’t make any sense unless you mean “were”.
  19. Social media (and life) must be difficult for people like this.
  20. I don't think that happened. According to UNO fans and Gabinet, UND was the one instigating all the physical and borderline dirty play. FOUR CONCUSSIONS!!
  21. Minnesota must be ahead of the times, they've been hosting games to an empty arena all season.
  22. Yeah I must have missed the UNO concussion suffered last night (and the other two at the REA). No mention of taking out two of our players on Friday night in the first period, neither of which could play in the finale. And one of those players being one of the best players in the nation. Nice work UNO.
  23. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/hockey/4988522-UND-takes-Penrose-Cup-outright-with-victory-over-Omaha-to-close-regular-season Heal up for next weekend Gooch. Bring on the Tigers, let's do this!
