Listening to Schloss' podcast for this week. They didn't spend too much time discussing practices and whatnot, but what he did say when asked about possible line combos from watching practice was all about how great Perron has looked. "unbelievable" "unpredictable and creative" "instant impact player" He said that Perron will be his vote for pre-season NCHC RoTY.

Played 4 games for Huntsville in 20/21 then played two seasons at D3 St John's. Probably won't see any of very little ice time unless UMN has some forward injury issues.

So close. Such a shame.

Some big moves upcoming with the Hagens bros and Zellers. Honestly not surprised to see both BU and Harvard losing recruits with how many commitments both of those schools have been getting recently. Reminds me of the Eaves days at UW, where they had like 15-20 recruits lined up for each season. Would be shocked if the Hagens brothers don't end up at one of the Boston schools or UM/UMN, but Zellers would be a great addition to our current group.

And I think the addition of Simpson as assistant could pay dividends on recruiting as well. He’s a younger guy that can relate more to potential recruits and he also fairly recently went thru that process himself.

Morin and Tretheway, they've had a good couple days.

Lindberg would be an awesome get, for sure. Would just love to see an elite forward recruit join that class. Gotta win one of those battles again, eventually.

The recruiting class that Berry currently has going for this cycle is great. Adding a Mooney or a Potter would elevate it to an elite class.

Yeah, for sure. Something is gonna have to give if all these schools rumored at going DI start actually doing it. They'll all need to fit somewhere.

UMN fans were proclaiming him a Gopher after looking at his social media, so I agree...better BU than UMN. BU is gonna have yet another great incoming group if they land a few more of these players that they are rumored to be in on.

I still have a hard time believing that St Thomas would jump ship from the CCHA to the NCHC just a couple years after they joined the CCHA. They just joined the CCHA in 2021. I'm assuming that the CCHA would make them pay a decent fee for leaving, much like the rule that the NCHC has in place.

Schloss specifically called out Blake on looking dominant in these early practices. Also he talked about Perron making some great passes and hustling back when he doesn't have the puck, compared him to Nick Schmaltz. Mentioned Berg looking like a good fit. Said Hedquist was a full participant in practices, so he must be recovered from his injury suffered late last season.
