  1. While I’d love to see a UND win tonight…win or lose it won’t determine if there’s potential for a good playoff run or not. Look at Denver last year. UND swept them at home in November and they still managed to win the title at the end.
  2. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-gives-up-late-lead-loses-to-minnesota-in-overtime?auth0Authentication=true Ouch. 5th time in the last 11 games? That's brutal. Well that makes me feel much better.
  3. I didn't say it was either.
  4. For sure, I'd take subpar wins over quality losses any day.
  5. Agreed. Split up some of the d-corps pairs that haven't been playing as well as hoped. Judd gets moved to 3rd/4th line or in the stands (not even a sog tonight for him while on the supposed 1st line). Get James out there to use his wheels on the big ice. DeRidder earned another start.
  6. Or for sure. But not "cancel all hope for the season" stuff. UND is still a quality team this year, just has to shore up some issues. Have to consider their competition in those 4 games as well...QU and UMN are both legit Frozen Four teams and UND is playing them back to back very early in the season.
  7. For the team or for some of the forum member's mental stability?
  8. NCHC OOC results tonight so far (3-4-0): SCSU 3 - MSUM 2 (impressive win, SCSU remains undefeated) DU 4 - Providence 1 (Providence's first loss) Miami 5 - Canisius 3 Notre Dame 2 - WMU 0 UAF 3 - UNO 2 UMN 3 - UND 2 (boo) UW 5 - UMD 2 (UW's first win of the season) ASU leads CC 4-3 with 14min left in game.
  9. Agreed. DeRidder won’t be able to keep it that close two games in a row. Tonight was their chance.
  10. Not good OOC night shaping up for the NCHC yet again.
  11. Said after 5 games, 3 of which have been played against top 10 teams.
  12. Yeah that was an odd comment. Especially as a ND resident who attended UND (along with most of my HS graduating class).
  13. You might be setting yourself up for disappointment expecting a road sweep of the #1 team but we’ll see.
  14. Yes. We were also outplayed & outshot in the first game too against Princeton (IIRC) but beat them just because we had the more talented players.
  15. Geez. Neither of those make sense to me. Of course, I don’t get paid the big bucks. Hoping Judd can break out of his funk on the big sheet.
  16. Yep, loudest post shot I've ever heard too. And I was sitting upper level. It sure shut up the Badger fans sitting around us that we giving us a bunch of crap in the 2nd intermission when we were down 2-0.
  17. There was. Also the nickname for Sault Ste Marie, MI, the home of LSSU.
  18. I don't really have a great feeling heading into this series after seeing our defensive and goaltending lapses against QU. UMN has more offensive studs than QU does (although I'd argue QU might be deeper). I wouldn't be shocked at a loss or two. But would love to be surprised. Prove me wrong, boys!
  19. Ever hear of a place called the Soo?
  20. Thurs Night hockey action: OSU 9 - Bentley 2 (former UND recruit Halliday with a hattrick of assists and now leads the team in points as a frosh) PSU 6 - STU 2 (PSU remains undefeated at 5-0-0)
