Nice writeup on him. If he's more of a playmaker, he'll fit in well with Blake and OMc...we'll just need some more Gaber-like finishers on the team for them to pass to.
-
No doubt. Imagine if we had this year's offense output with last year's defense and goaltending? We'd be a top 5 team right now.
-
Our special teams play continues to be excellent (top 10 in both PP and PK). If not for our save % and defense, we could be a really good team!

https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/preview-und-vs-bemidji-state Schloss is calling the split. BSU wins in Bemidji and UND wins in GF. I'd say a split is probably what to expect. UND hasn't shown that it can string together a strong 120min in a weekend yet this year.

We'll see if he can put up some numbers now that he's back in the AJHL again...maybe get some of that confidence back. He had a strong season there last year with Okotoks.
-
Certainly might not be accurate, but Elite Prospects still shows him as committed. Yeah, he's down in the AJHL now...doesn't show him as playing any games there yet though.
-
Great news on both...we missed OMc's skill on Saturday and it'll be great to have another d-corps option with Bast back. That'll be interesting to see. I wonder if they'll break him in slowly to get back up to game speed...dress him as the extra skater for a few games or something.

I wonder if his dad would have disowned him if he went to DU.

Our PWR upward progression began today. Now at #27 after today's games, up from #28. Baby steps. -

5-7? He's like another Panzer! Nice get for Berry with the other schools in the running.

2022-23 University of North Dakota Hockey Season
brianvf replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
I was gonna ask the same thing. I'm sure Schloss will dig into that and let us know. Hopefully the team is embarrassed about that as well...started the season ranked pretty high and now have fallen out of the rankings entirely. Time to right the ship. -
This is their playoff series.
-
At least it’s not Waterworld Kevin.

BSU is never a good matchup for us with how they clog things up. Even more so this year when our breakouts are horrible and our defensive zone coverage is non-existent at times. Not to mention our team save % is one of the absolute worst in the nation. I'm hopeful that we can get one win out of the weekend. I'd like to be more optimistic, but this UND team is so damn inconsistent. In some games, they look like they could be top 10 title contenders...Friday night QU/UNO/Miami come to mind. But then the very next game in all three of those series, they looked like a completely different team.
-
Also...closed door team meeting seemed to have happened after this game. It's made a comeback:
-
https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/four-themes-re-appear-in-unds-loss-to-miami The bolded parts are brutal. Ouch.
-
yeah, that's not happening, unfortunately. We were supposed to sweep this weekend against a "bottom-feeder" to get the confidence to go on a run.
-
That'll work about 85% of the time with our goalies.
-
I wouldn't. He's a talented player, for sure. He, along with the whole team, needs to get out of this funk. They're way more talented than what we've seen thus far.

Moore is out injured so half of that is already taken care of for you.
