  1. I wouldn't say there's a conspiracy, more that DU seems to get the majority of calls at home, similar to MN at home. If either of those teams are trailing in a home game late in the 3rd, it's pretty much a certainty that they will get a PP chance or two to get back into the game.
  2. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/gavin-hain-set-to-return-for-und-against-denver?fbclid=IwAR3Luu6eHAo5hiHwYx_YFsDyxefWbLWo2FeWKdEJFeT_YmXFKWrIXq6SqbI Hain ready to play, but Schmaltz will still be out along with Montgomery. As expected. The league wouldn't want DU to be shorthanded. Now, if Kleven would have been involved in that melee, he would have been retroactively given a game or two suspension.
  3. Oshie was a freight train. A skill player that could barrel over you to get to the puck. Was so much fun watching him at UND.
  4. Agreed on all this. Especially the major...DU will get the lions share of the PP chances in Denver, for sure. In at least one game, the DU PP chances will at least double the number of PP chances that UND gets. Just a few fun ones that I found looking back thru the archives: 2021 - UND 3 PP / DU 7 PP - http://www.collegehockeystats.net/2021/boxes/mdenndk1.j18 2019 - UND 3 PP / DU 6 PP - http://www.collegehockeystats.net/1920/boxes/mdenndk1.n16 2019 - UND 1 PP / DU 3 PP - http://www.collegehockeystats.net/1819/boxes/mdenndk1.f02 2014 - UND 3 PP / DU 6 PP - http://www.collegehockeystats.net/1415/boxes/mdenndk1.d12 2012 - UND 3 PP / DU 7 PP - http://www.collegehockeystats.net/1112/boxes/mdenndk1.f25 2007 - UND 2 PP / DU 5 PP - http://www.collegehockeystats.net/0708/boxes/mdenndk1.n30 And...my personal favorite: 2017 - UND 1 PP / DU 8 PP - http://www.collegehockeystats.net/1718/boxes/mdenndk1.n18
  5. Merrimack continues their freefall. They had been as high as #3 in the PWR around Christmas. But they have now only won 2 games in their last 11 played and are now at #22. Their loss today to Maine moved UND up a spot to #20 in the PWR.
  6. Wouldn't mind seeing this combo next season a few times. Emerson tips home a Livanavage shot.
  7. Canisius beat RIT in OT, that'll help us.
  8. Not just underclassmen...but oh well: Probably Kleven. Maybe Johnson to portal. For sure Farmer, Jandric, and Sidorski gone. Hopefully Frisch decides to use his 5th year.
  9. Either Miami really upped their game since last weekend or SCSU is tailing off. UND completely outclassed Miami last weekend, but this weekend Miami is playing SCSU pretty evenly (on SCSU's big sheet, too). Hopefully SCSU can keep their slump a bit when they travel to GF in a couple weeks.
  10. Cornell scored 5 PPG in the 1st period alone in their game against Union. Four of them during a 5min major. And three of those within 22sec of each other. Dang.
  11. Almost, apparently! UND up to #19 in the PWR after rest day #1.
  12. That wasn't even great goaltending...it was just a bunch of horrible attempts.
  13. Yeah a fun last minute after a bit of nothing. Shootout.
  14. Miami with a breakaway to win it with like 30sec left but denied.
  15. Both games after 2 periods: 2-1 WMU over UMD 2-2 SCSU & Miami
