Johnson must be pretty ill to have the injured Moore and Kleven starting instead of him. Surprised that Hellsten gets the nod rather than the rotation of putting DeRidder back out there. Either way...time to boost that save % a touch, eh? Same forward lines from what I can recall.

-
It's either that or skate a forward as a dman.
-
Agreed. The shutdown line just works and the Gaber/Blake/OMc line could put up a ton of points if they stay together.
-
I've thought we've turned the corner many times this season. They seem to always follow it up with a dud. If they can get the W tonight, that'll be a step in the right direction. Another tie or loss tonight and it'll just be same-old, same-old.
-
Yeah seems like a lot of "big" schools missed out on him. Leading the NCAA in scoring as an unheralded freshman, pretty impressive. Another freshman, Fantilli, right behind him in 2nd for points. Everyone knew he was gonna be good though. Hard to predict how much of a factor McAllister would be coming from the AJHL. WMU with 3 of the top 4 scorers in the nation at this point, that's crazy.

And that guy is the moderator? Ha!
-
Bast certainly chose the right time to be able to get back on the ice. He saw a ton of ice time tonight and will again tomorrow as well (and however long it takes for all those other guys to heal). Johnson was out tonight with illness. Hopefully he's not horribly ill and can join tomorrow's lineup.
-
And Kleven could barely skate at the end from the sounds of it.
-
He might be forced to with how many people got dinged up tonight. Frisch, Kleven, Hain, Senden...they all seemed to have some issues tonight. Hopefully a few of them can still roll tomorrow.
-
We'll find out in March.
-
Unfortunately, that's the current state of UND hockey.
-
Yep. UNO moves up to #22 with their win (DU slips to #4)...which moves UND to #26. UND can sure look dominant at times (2nd period tonight), but certainly can't string that into a consistent level of play for a full weekend. Will we see another UND weekend sweep this season? Holy Cross on opening weekend was one. Hopefully Lindenwood in early Jan. Not sure on any others.

Long Island upsets OSU, 3-2. And OSU promptly drops 6 spots in the PWR.
-
UND has got to find a way to win one of these games when they're tied or leading in the 3rd. They have 6 losses and 3 ties. In every single one of those losses and ties except two, they've been leading or tied in the 3rd period. The only two that weren't are the Sat QU and the Sat DU games. Their record could be drastically different if they could have closed out just a few of those "close" ones.
-
UND up to #25 now in Pairwise with a few games still to finish. UNO, currently sitting at #28, will probably bump them down if they hold on to beat #1 DU.
-
UNO on the verge of the upset of #1 DU. Leading 3-0 with 8min left. Tychonick with 3 assists.

Final SOG 33-23 UND
-
BSU is actually ahead of us in PWR right now, so this will benefit us more than them. But that's sad. UND wins shootout that means nothing. Unfortunately that means that they'll probably get steamrolled tomorrow because the players will think they "won".
-
Evidently. I wonder how many of the injured & sick players will be able to play tomorrow?
-
Hain injured now. We might not have a full team tomorrow.
-
Kleven and Frisch both injured...UND down to 4 dmen.
-
Yeah same. Hadn't heard of that, a special rule for challenges and to overturn.
-
Schloss posted the rule from that play. Something along the lines of that it can only be overturned if the 6th player affected the play in some way. Or something like that.
