Cherry picking? You mean like bringing up a UND/Canisius series from 2019 to use as a comparison to how this season's UM team beat Canisius? Ha! For sure though. I'm disappointed on how the season went, absolutely. But I think they'll turn it around sooner rather than later. And I'll support them regardless of if they make the tourney or not.

Cornell only has a couple more wins than UND on the season, and they're also only one win away from the FF. Anything can happen in the NCAA's. For sure though, UMN was more talented than UND this season...they're more talented than about 99% of the teams this season. But things are cyclical. I have no doubt UND will be back.

You could've just compared the two teams based on the series they played at Mariucci a couple months ago. Two OT games, one win / one loss.

Maybe more! Man did Canisius just implode over the last 25 minutes. Brutal to watch after they played so well the first 1.5 periods.

Geez remember when Cooley was down to us or UMN? That would have been something. Kid is dynamic.

Palocsik could certainly get a pile of minutes coming here, for sure. Plus PP time. Just unfortunate that both those guys could only be here one year. Would be great if one of the portal D pickups could have at least 2. But gotta take what's available and best for the team.

How quickly we forget about Miami's DYNASTY from when they were in the CCHA. There was even a popular article written about that dynasty. Hard to imagine St Thomas ever being a dynasty in NCAA hockey.

It certainly won't look good for the UMD coaching staff that a NHL draft pick has entered the portal.

He played in every game but two. He certainly had a slow start though, for sure. UMD people are saying he was "lazy" and didn't want to earn his opportunities. I'm not sure if that is just sour grapes or accurate though.

It's either that or come back for his 9th season at DU.

I'm 2-0 now after SCSU's win, but the DU result won't do me any favors if this result holds up. Not that I would mind in the slightest.

Yeah that won't work against UMN. Surprising SCSU win...they honestly haven't looked that good for the last 3-4 games, but they keep winning and that's all that matters in the NCAA's. At least they upheld the NCHC banner for one more game.

Mankato outshooting SCSU 32-19 but losing 4-0. Ouch.
