  1. Another PP for Army
  2. Johannes SHG!! 1-0!
  3. Looks like a decent turnout from the tv.
  4. I like pairing one frosh dman with another experienced guy. And then Britt/Zmolek as 3rd d pair should do well. Emerson as the extra skater and Ness is the only upperclassman sitting.
  5. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/how-junior-hockey-experience-prepared-abram-wiebe-and-jake-livanavage-for-their-rookie-seasons Similar to the decision that Strathmann made this season.
  6. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/the-heralds-top-10-nchc-transfers-for-2023-24 Schloss has Berg at #1, Pyke at #4, Pehrson at #5, and Persson at #6. Also Costantini at #7 for WMU.

  8. 6-5 final, Air Force over Michigan St
  9. Air Force 5-3 over MSU after 2 periods.
  10. Air Force up 3-0 on Michigan St after one period. Matteo Costantini centered WMU's 2nd line in their game against FSU. He didn't register any points but it appears WMU has a new strong 1st line after losing their entire 1st line from last year. Wendt/Grainger/Phillips combined for 4 goals/8 assists in their first game.
  11. WMU beats FSU 6-4. Maine beats RPI 4-1. Air Force leads MSU 2-0 near the end of the 1st.
  12. No chance of Gaber coming back for a 5th year? I heard the Sioux FB members are trying to convince Gaber’s mom to talk him into staying.
  13. Updated stats thru 10/9: Croal, Littler, Panzer, Boisvert, Strathmann, and Zellers all continue their strong starts. Slower start to the season for O'Neill and Simpson. 14. Couple more "One More Shift" nights this year...Hrkac and Patrick. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/tony-hrkac-james-patrick-to-return-to-und-for-one-more-shift-this-season Hopefully they come out fired up after those...I seem to recall that UND has had good luck in the games after the One More Shift.

  16. Man, I hope so...as that would make for a very fun & entertaining season to watch.
  17. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/the-heralds-2023-24-conference-by-conference-college-hockey-preview I hadn't heard this before: Schloss picks UND to finish 2nd behind DU. He also picks Blake as the top forward, Perron as the top recruit, and Berg as the top transfer. Berg was oddly absent from the scoresheet in UND's 10-0 exhibition win.
  18. That's what I was gonna say as well. Manitoba didn't look good, but how much of that was attributed to UND relentlessly coming on the forecheck and forcing them to turn it over in their own end. They came at them hard and attacked the puck carrier anytime Manitoba even got a sniff. Army will be a better test, and then UW will be an even better test. UW wasn't really tested against Augie, didn't allow a goal and outshot them handily. We'll see how BSU fares against them on Friday. A win against UW will be a big help in the PWR, as you know the B10 will be strong again this year.
  19. Rizzo with 7 assists after their first two games.
  20. Got one more across. Keep it rolling.
  21. UND's next opponent, Army, lost 6-0 to Union today in their season opener and were outshot 46-19. Hopefully we have similar success against them on Friday night.
  22. Make that 4-1 DU now Jack Devine with back to back PP goals. He had two goals yesterday too, so he already has 4 goals in 2 games. Good start to the season for him.
  23. DU up 3-1 on UAF, despite getting outshot 14-8. Not a good save % for that UAF goalie.
  24. Schloss mentioned it briefly in the gamer but I didn't notice it at the game.
