  1. I'm an alum and leading my Monday night golf league standings.
  2. Jonathan Toews was also the top skater of the Olympics, and Zach Parise (along with Toews) were 2 of the 3 best forwards in the tournament. If you're going back all 24 months, don't forget Kristo/Blais' gold medal in the World Juniors. TJ Oshie also was a key member of the US team in the IIHF World Championships.
  3. I love Buff, and he was irreplaceable in the playoffs...however, he did have a knack for disappearing during the regular season. Down the road (I think he has one year left on his contract), he'll be seeking a nice paycheck, and that would have only made it harder to keep him. Madden will be gone too most likely.
  4. That Byfuglien loss breaks my heart.
  5. Tough loss for the team, but good for Brad.
  6. Nope, Patrick Kane was on the cover last year, and he and the Hawks did just fine.
  7. I can't find anything that disclaims this proclamation of Toews being on the cover...but I'm not finding any evidence other than the site you posted that seems to have found this out. I'm a little skeptical, especially with Kane having been on the cover last year...but we'll see. Stranger things have happened.
  8. I hope someone records this and puts it on YouTube in case I forget to watch it.
  9. Jonny Toews had a kid already and he's coming to UND? One can only hope...
  10. No, you have the hit thing backwards. You do all the hitting, I do all the scoring.
  11. With similar outcomes in the forecast, right weatherman?
  12. No offense to the city of Phoenix, but the Coyotes need to get out of there. Sure, they sell some tickets when they are doing good, but they need a city that will support them a little better during the rougher years. Wherever that takes them, I don't know and don't really care, but the franchise deserves better. The nice thing about Phoenix is the decent sized population that moved there from the north, and are hockey fans. The problem though is that the people that may have moved there and are hockey fans already have an allegiance with their original favorite. That's why you see so many Packers and Vikings fans in AZ when you see the two teams travel to Phoenix.
  13. I can't say I've seen 'em all, but they are most definitely the best I've seen.
  14. If you do some research you'll find that nearly all bigger D1 schools have some sort of club hockey. That includes ACC, SEC, Big 12, and Pac 10 schools...regions where hockey is not very prominent.
  15. Syracuse is a name that caught my eye because a couple years ago they already said they were committed to adding D1 hockey. It might have fallen through because I haven't heard much since, but that wasn't a rumor, that was straight from the school. Now, with the possible move to the Big Ten, that may come to fruition again.
  16. Oh, is that why a PS3 is near the top of your shopping list.
  17. Must have been the joke to end all jokes
  18. Can't they say "Let's Get Hyper" then and not "Let's Get Crunk"?
  19. Well, Heinz Field meant Sidney Crosby, and then I instantly thought it would be against the Capitals...or 2nd choice being Philly. Sure enough, Ovie and the Caps are heading to Pittsburgh.
  20. Well, to answer the question, it's Mark MacMillan of the BCHL. He was the 2nd leading scorer in the league as a Rookie.
  21. So, I completely forgot that the auctions ended today...which is why I think it was really dumb for them to go on as long as they did, because I'm sure I'm not the only one that forgot, which means money lost for UND. Anyways... I was hoping to maybe work out a trade for either the white Watkins game-worn or the white Miller game-worn. 30 of my 31 jerseys are up for trade for either of them, so PM me if you would be interested in at least hearing what possible deal we could work out. Thanks
  22. New Orleans is a long way from Grand Forks. ("Toto, I've a feeling we aren't in Kansas anymore") Please keep the crunk out of REA...forever.
  23. I don't remember the 2008 game in Denver being poor officiating...although i could have been completely stunned out of focus. The 2007 game had some sketchy calls, but in the end, they scored a lot of goals either way. Refs didn't make up the difference in the 2008 game when we lose 6-1 for sure. Lammy made that great "cartwheel" save in 2007, but all-in-all, it wasn't a great game for him. It got even worse the next year.
