Dammit...spacing out again. Was thinking ahead to 2010 already.

Bozak will help, but it's not easy to come back and produce right away, especially in a tournament situation. 1) He'll be rusty. 2) He'll be unsure of his leg. 3) The chemistry won't be there. If he came back two weekends ago, yeah, he might be a big threat. I just don't think he'll come in and be the superstar again right away. DU is still skilled, and will be tough. I really hope someone trips them up. Back-to-back weekends at the Xcel will be nice for DU and UMD.

Stalock and the Dogs played out of their minds this weekend. Great for them. BUT, this team DID finish 7th in the WCHA. UMD plays so up and down. After a weekend high, I can easily see them following it with a weekend low. People jump on the bandwagons way too quick...which isn't surprising considering how many people around here are Vikings/Twins fans.

Assuming .7% means only 1 person, I was the only one who voted for Miami to get as far as they did... Boy, a lot of you are going to be wrong.

An unexpected CCHA team has made the Final game the last two years....this year it's Miami. BU vs the Hurricanes, Redskins, Redhawks...with the Terriers winning.

I'm sure that's the way it will go, as mentioned many times before. I was merely speculating based on what Hak said knowing that VV and Genoway are the 2 only obvious people he could have been talking about.

If it's 3....then u gotta look at Frats or Gregoire as the 3rd. I don't think anyone else would fit the bill as the 3rd. Unless Toews was at risk of transferring or something b/c of his lack of playing time?

Because the Gopher players were all so upset, the parents secretly all chipped in for the whole team to get trophies because they were "winners" too. The Championship parade in downtown Minneapolis is scheduled for Wednesday.

How many Sioux fans think the Gophs will get in because the NCAA wants 'em in despite the teams being chosen purely on PWR? The world may never know.

Eids was a few goals away from having an unbelievable season....not that it already wasn't. He only had 1 shutout, but had 8 one goal games. Hopefully he can add to the shoutout list, oh, about 6 more times this season....then next year, add a few more than that.

He (she) has every right to feel the way they do. Just because someone doesn't think they're going to win the National Championship every year doesn't mean they aren't a good fan. The team has been good lately, but so have the last 3-4 teams in the 2nd half. It's about winning titles. The 1997 team is the exception, not the rule. Do people who don't think their team is going to win care less, or don't cheer as hard? No. Do they want the team to fail? Absolutely not. The last few years the team has been one of the favorites each year due to their hot streak...and not one of them pulled it off. Maybe comments like this are what the team needs to bring home the chunk of wood the NC$$ gives out in April.

Hak's tenure WCHA finish: 04-05: 5th 05-06: 4th 06-07: 3rd 07-08: 2nd 08-09: 1st NCAA finish: 04-05: Title game 05-06: FF Semi-final loss by 1 06-07: FF Semi-final loss by 2 07-08: FF Semi-final loss by 5 08-09: ? So, each year we did slightly better in WCHA play, but each FF appearance we seem to have done slightly worse each year. Granted, the FF appearances are all pretty similar, especially the 05-06 season and the 06-07 season where we actually played better most of the game in the 06-07 game, but still. 5 straight Frozen Fours is unheard of, and I think it's time the team lets us down.

Not disagreeing with you necessarily, but just curious on how you know for sure the show isn't better without WCHA/HS talk? I agree, it'd be nicer to hear them talk about games/teams that pertain more to the fan-bases outside of the TC, but...the show runs on ads. The more ads, the better the show is for the station. With more local talk, the show might be making more money. Just a thought. We can keep dreaming anyways....

This is the least talented team I've seen in Hak's tenure. I'll leave it at that.

I've heard two theories about that. 1) The Sioux nickname era is about to end. 2) They wanted to wait on re-ordering them so they could include the diagonal "SIOUX" on the ND shoulder patches. I hope it's the latter...
