    Matt Greene

Fuher and Smaby were the best pair on the ice Sat. Greene is not ready for the NHL. He will be here one more year. The way he turned the puck over Sat. He did not even look like he should have been on the ice. If he thinks he can play in the NHL after two years of college he is a fool. Look at Mike Commodore. He was more polished than Greene and he left after his junior year and he cannot stay in the show. Greene will be in the AHL for a long time if he jumps ship before he should

UMD Dogz, Do you have any report on the status of the injured players Lessard, Hambly, Brosz ? I want to see Duluth play with all hands on deck. Any updates would be greatly appreciated. If you get by State I like your chances against the Goofies on neutal ice.
  3. Thank You for showing Sioux hockey. I am there many weekends and have spent a good amount of $ watching the Sioux throughout the season.

    ?Final Five?

Frankie, wouldn't dare show his face. He is one of those cybergeeks who hides behind his computer.

    ?Final Five?

I will be in section 112 row 14, but may also be moving around depending on empty seats. I think I am behind at least part of the netting and I hate those darn things.

    Genoway

Anyone heard if he is going to officially play? It said in Virg's column that he is questionable (groin injury). We do not want to be shorthanded at this time of the year.
  8. I took a look at the USHL stats for the 3 Sioux recruits playing in the USHL. Looks like Beaverson is a -8, tied for worst on the team. He also leads the team in penalty minutes which is not so good if you are a -8. He looks like he will be a project, I wonder if he will play another year at Green Bay as he will not see ice time here next year with everyone back plus Radke, which leaves Bina as the extra d-man.

Yeah, Frankie Rickard- yeah as the fans (especially students) say when a basketball player fouls out or a hockey player goes to the box......WWHHHHHHHOOOOOOAAAAA SSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEE YYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!

    Final Five

Ok, all the ranting is over let's just not respond to this a-hole anymore and he will go away. Hey Frankie, class is starting, get off the computer and get to class it is obvious you are behind in school.
  11. Frank you are a fool and fans of both teams know it. You are probably some 15 year old kid. Get off the computer before you get grounded. Gopher fans do not appreciate this on POI and neither do we. Now do your homework, by your spelling you must be behind in school.

By the way Frank Rickard section 207 is not the club level so I doubt you are even going to be at the X. Green with envy aren't you Frank?

    Final Five

Duluth will not be playing with a full squad. For that reason I have to givr thr Fri. night edge to the Goofies. I will be rooting for UMD though. My prediction 1. UND 2. UMN 3. UMD 4. CC 5. UAA
  15. While you are in the minority because most Goofer fans would not cheer for UND under any circumstance either.

    Don't tell anyone

The defense has certainly helped but both have bailed the team out on a number of occasions this year. Both have had good years and a good d in front of you helps but you still have to make the key saves, and for the most part the goalies have done that this year.
  17. I am hoping for a Dogz win. I would never cheer for the Goofies, I don't care what the circumstance. Does anyone know if Brosz is playing for UMD or is he still out? The last thing I want is for the Goofies to get a # 1 seed. I am confident this is our year.
  18. While since Woog's opinion was not good enough to keep him a job as a coach in college hockey I do not put any stock into what that di%$head has to say. Every time he calls a Sioux game he rambles about how the Sioux have no offensive skill on the blue line. Great stats on the D-men of the Sioux and Goofies PCM, I would like to send that to Woog in an e-mail and tell him to shove it and keep his big mouth shut for the final five. That is why the Sioux have the least goals against in the WCHA because they play Smart D and only jump into the play when they will not get burned on the other end!!
  19. I am also surprised that they would put Stafford back with Parise and Murray. I like Genoway on that line with Bo with Lundbohm and Porter on a line. I think it makes the 4th line more dangerous and much more physical with Stafford vs Genoway who is not a physical player. That being said who knows if that is actually the way it will be come game time. Blais knows opposing coaches are listening and reading as well.

    Prpich?

Getting under the other teams skin is good as long as the dumb penalties do not come with it. We CANNOT have bad penalties at this time of the year, that can be the difference between winning and losing when the teams are more evenly matched. Prp has done a good job of staying out of the box and playing smart lately. Keep it up Prp.
  21. This is the playoffs, not some meaningless series. The object is to win not to be accomodating to the opposing team. I see no problem in making them rent their ice somewhere else. Much like the business world, it's not about making friends it is all about winning. I think a major reason why Alaska was able to practice at Mariucci is because Alaska's coach (Hill) used to be a Lucia asst. coach and they are good friends.
  22. Lucia pet did not call out a single player, he just basically that both goalies sucked. Blais said " Jake found a way to scerew it up" or something close to that when Jake misplayed the puck in Madison. That is one time this year when I felt Blais deserved to take some heat. These are college kids and not millionaire pros and should not be called out in the media like that. Behind closed doors, fine. All must be well between the two though because Blaiser gave Brandt a big bear hug as the teams were lining up for the handshake after the sweep of the Dogz. Funny how winning can cure all!
  23. It is important that Blais makes sure that the Sioux do not play down to Tech's level. With the cup on the line there should be no problem motivating the boys. Beantown is the goal and now is no time for a dip in play due to a weak opponent. Jump on em' early and they will fold up. If we let Tech hang around a lucky bounce or soft goal could get them a point, they can be a pesky team.
