I read when they sent him down that he would be a top four d-man in Binghamton and see time on the power play. He is a talented kid so he may really progress in the next year or so and stick in Ottawa.

We need 4 points this weekend. CC can be pesky and is a pretty decent team. However if we want to raise that McNaughton Cup we can't give away points at home.

A lot of clubs want their prospects to develop in the AHL with their coaches etc rather than in college. Often it is up to the player if they want to do that ie Brian Lee this year or if they want to stay in college and play ie Finley or Chorney. Lee probably knew he had little chance of making the big club but chose to spend the year in Binghamton rather than UND.

Here's hoping Forney can follow the path of Scorin Goren!!

I think many posters are rooting for him to come around as we are aware of the potential he has and how he could really be a big boost to the team if he can get his confidence. Forney just needs some confidence shown from the coaches to get in some games and I think he will come around.

Exactly...coulda...woulda...shoulda....the Gophs would have been right there with us with some stacked lines and D as well. Early defections are part of the deal. If there was a rule that all players had to stay 4 years the top players would not play college hockey and the sport would not be what it is today.

Yeah Kozek is really one of those guys that needs to step it up. Great job so far. I was reading something a while back regarding the Thrashers prospects and they basically said he really needs to step it up to remain a viable prospect.

Yeah I think Gregoire is really going to be good. Maybe not Travis Zajac good but I think he will be a really good center for the Sioux.

Probably #2 and who really cares. We need to get a sweep next weekend. We did not defend our home ice at all in the first half of last season and I hope we are able to do so this year.

Hak was really pissed after the game on the radio interview. I am wondering if that was due to Radke's antics. Hennesy had to kind of take control of the situation.

You are more than entitled to your opinion. The only intensity I see is bad judgement. If you are not going to do anything to help your team offensively...how can you consistently take penalties in bad situations. That 5 min major last year against the Goofs was horrible. That could have easily cost us the game.

I don't mean to take a shot at the kid but Radke just does nothing for me out there. He consistently takes penalties an inopportune times. He contributes zero to the offense. I would be surprised if he scores one goal this year. He needs to sit a few games, but that is just my meaningless opinion.

I don't know about that....I don't think his ceiling is that high even if he reaches his potential. Right now the goal is to get him in a game...baby steps

true dat....Tech will always be a doormat. Not a lot of top recruits are gonna want to play at Tech.

It will be interesting to see what type of impact he will have next year. I just hope people don't expect him to live up to the stardom of his brother. I think David will pave his own way. His stock seems to be on the rise and is obviously off to a great start this year at Shattuck.

Frattin will be with Kaip and Watkins...I am going to go out on a limb and say Brad Miller. Hopefully if Forney does get in the game he can gain some confidence and get things rolling. I feel kind of bad for the kid, it must be tough for him. That being said ice time cannot just be handed out it has to be earned. The best players have to play and it is the coaches job to evaluate and put the guys in the line up that give the team the best chance to win. That in turn keeps all of us fans happy!!!
