With VV back lots of forward line combos to ponder....should be another exciting year. Lots of good forwards to mesh together. On D I really hope Fienaghe can make a splash this year. If Pointer comes back and can start the season I see a good d corps. With a few unknowns as always.

Are they not both power forwards?? Yeah VV is a center and Porter a winger but I think they are quite similar. They are a similiar size with similar skill sets. Porter is having a hard time making the NHL and so will VV.

How can you call Anaheim a team of nothings?? They have two of the best defenseman in the NHL in Pronger and Neidemeyer. Not to mention Selanne, Getzlaff, Perry and the rookie Ryan. Along with a lot of good role players. They are far from a team of nothings....

I understand VV is a center but he is not bigger than Porter. They are about the same size with Porter probably having an extra 5 to 10 pounds. The reason Walz was on that line is because he can skate! Walz is a great skater VV is not, there lies your difference.

Agreed I believe he would have to sit out another year to transfer to another school but could come to UND next year ala Quinn Fylling when he played a year in the USHL and came back to UND.
