It was strange. I was watching the basketball game and about 3 p.m. they said that viewers in the Allendale and Grand Forks areas should stand by while they switched to the kickoff for the Division II championship game. There was a long pause and nothing happened. The basketball game stayed on.

I'll bet Taylor and Chapman use this line all the time in their talks to NDSU alumni and Bison boosters.

I'm watching from home once again. I am feeling better than I did last night, but I decided not to go to the game and risk another relapse. There will be a basic USCHO recap tonight.

Congratulations to all the Sioux players and the coaching staff on a terrific and exciting season. I had my doubts about the team early in the season, but they showed that they indeed belonged in the championship game.

I made the mistake of trying to go back to work today after being out for two days. Not a good idea. By the time I got home, I was totally wiped out.
