I just received a UND e-mail saying that they had 800+ badges for searchers and they ran out. UND Police are asking for people to donate more stick-on badges.

The writer, Christa Moore, seems a bit too infatuated with the Money Line. Sure, they had a good weekend, but that wasn't the story of the sweep. It was scoring from guys like Prpich, Genoway and Porter that made the games so lopsided. She makes it sound as if UND only has one line.

I have a great view of Engelstad Arena from where I work. There's huge line of volunteers stretching from the arena to the parking lot lined up to get on the buses to help search for Dru. A coworker and I are going to join the search right after lunch. Driving to work this morning, it was touching to see banners of support for Dru all along Greek row.

I'm showing up like I did last weekend and bringing my kids to cheer. My wife would be there if she didn't have to work.

You go to UND and you expect sensitivity? What the heck is wrong with you (besides your smell)?

While I agree that televising the football games does have an impact on attendance, you have to wonder why it doesn't have a similar impact on hockey. Could it be because there are more things to do and more things to get done in an afternoon than there are at night? It just seems to me that it's probably easier to find reasons not to attend a daytime event. I have to commend the UND students at Saturday's game. From the hanging gorilla dolls to the bare-chested lads with "GO SIOUX" spelled on their chests to the fine ladies with "GO SIOUX" spelled on their posteriors (maybe that should be reversed for the next game ) to the non-stop harassment of the PSU bench, the student section was great. And I could see all that from the opposite side of the field.

There's an article in Sunday's Denver Post about Saturday's UND-DU game. Gwozdecky made some nice comments about the Sioux, such as:

You could be right, Diggler. But because the photo in question appears to be naturally blurry, it's difficult to tell. The goalie pictured is Sam LoPresti. He played at SCSU from 1940-42 and also played for Chicago.

While scanning the St. Cloud State University hockey media guide, I spotted something interesting on the inside front cover where former Huskies playing in the NHL are showcased. Notice the highlighted No. 4 picture. That's Tyler Arneson, who plays for the Chicago Blackhawks. Now take a closer look at Arneson's picture. The Blackhawk logos on his uniform are blurred out. And that's the latest from PCSU.

Not that this makes anyone feel better, but imagine how many people would have attended yesterday's game if it had been at Memorial Stadium and televised.

Duluth is the last WCHA series of the year. The US National Team is an exhibition.

That would be fine with me, but I'm thinking that with the Sioux not playing a regular season game until Dec. 12, there's a good chance will be in the top spot for a few weeks.

After last year's troubles in Denver, I'm really surprised that the Sioux won both games so convincingly. A split wouldn't have surprised me. I guess this means that the Sioux will stay No. 1 in the polls for a while yet.

Might as well. I'm sure there are more Sioux fans there than DU fans.
