  1. If someone didn't, I will.
  2. My guess is that somebody goofed up in formatting the page because Eric Schmoldt does mention the series in his weekly WCHA column. The editors have been notified.
  3. Paranoia and pettiness.
  4. Good thing I don't have to worry about being included in that group.
  5. So you see, it was really an anti-Gopher scam by the Vast Fighting Sioux Conspiracy.
  6. And just think: Without the WCHA's screw-up, Sioux fans wouldn't have those great posters showing UND as the 2006 Final Five champions.
  7. um - So exactly what was your point?
  8. Here's the link: http://fightingillini.cstv.com/genrel/022107aaa.html
  9. That's because the second one was printed after the Final Five and the first one was printed before it.
  10. Which all sounds good in theory. But I know from experience that when something is published for a big event under a tight deadline, corners are often cut. And that's what I suspect happened last year.
  11. C'mon, people. Does anybody seriously believe that the WCHA would deliberately do this again if UND makes the Final Five?
  12. I was referring to the title of the thread and the first post in it.
  13. I don't care who you are, that right there would've been some good radio.
  14. I'm waiting for THETRIOUXPER to read his crystal ball.
  15. People from North Dakota get USD and SDSU confused all the time. People from South Dakota get UND and NDSU confused all the time. Therefore, it's not difficult for me to understand how this honest mistake was made in Minnesota. Was I happy about it? No. I was quite angry at the time. The WCHA should have been embarrassed, and it was. But the league also went out of its way to make it up to Sioux fans, and the made it right for me. If someone doesn't want to forgive and forget, that's fine. But to claim it was some sort of anti-UND conspiracy is ridiculous.
  16. Buning should have pulled a Bush league move and stood Schulz up.
  17. Here's my response to Coleman's column. Trading free expression for empty symbolism

Sadly, I think you're probably right.

  21. Shouldn't Dean Blais have to change his name, too?
  22. From the Green Mill, it's the Fighting Sioux Coaches' Show with UND hockey coach Dave Hakstol and hosts Tim Hennessy and Scott Swygman. TH: Last weekend, the Sioux played two games against Minnesota-Duluth under the guise of hockey. It was more like a couple of football games. It was just a slugfest. DH: That
  23. Clearly, they are too close to Fargo for their own good.
  24. The teams were arranged in order of how they were seeded for the tournament. The Gophers won the conference, so their team picture was on top as the No. 1 seed. I'd have to look at my poster, but my impression was that it was printed in the Red Baron's colors because Red Baron sponsored the tournament. That was a mistake for which the WCHA apologized. And in fairness to the WCHA, the posters were reprinted with UND correctly identified and the team picture at the top of the poster, recognizing the Sioux as the Final Five champs. The WCHA didn't have to do that, but it did. The WCHA also attempted to distribute the reprinted posters at the NCAA West Regionals at the Ralph, but wasn't allowed to do so by the NCAA. The league did all it could to atone for its mistake. Nobody ever told me that when I received my poster. Could it have been that there was some misinformation floating around rather than it being a conspiracy to deceive Sioux fans? In short, I think you're being overly sensitive and thin-skinned.
  25. This is a big step for Darling Nicky. He used to call UND's Fighting Sioux logo a cartoon.
