Not a early departure, but Schlossman had posted that NTDP U18’s Gage Ausmus has decommitted from Denver. That ship is sinking fast.

The issue I see with that, is you will need to host in a location that has rooms for all 8 teams plus fans. I've heard of issues trying to get rooms at a reasonable rate with the current Frozen four, yet alone adding 4 more teams plus fans. 1st round best of 3 at the top 8's home barn. Following week, two super regionals (east/west with cheaper ticket prices) and then the Frozen four the weekend after. Side note, if your state borders one of the 13 original colonies, you are not allowed to host the west regional. (Just don't ask me who the original 13 were)

I see what you are both saying. 1) By giving the other two goalies 1st and 2nd team awards, why bother giving them goalie on the rookie team. Spread some of the love. 2) The fact that they got 1st or 2nd team shouldn't keep either of them from getting the rookie team goaltending position. (This is how I feel) Just because you get one award, doesn't mean you don't deserve the other. I will say that Gothberg has stepped up his game of late and has received several weekly honors. Still don't think he is the rookie team goalie.

I would say take me with you, but can't afford to get stuck somewhere for a couple of days. Sounds like a possibility of rain/freezing rain this weekend.

I think in the past for Sr night that someone who wasn't a starting goalie started until the first whistle. At worst we give up a quick goal. I would like to see Tater start and then if we get a big lead he can come back in.

I saw the one heading south, albeit a little late. I'm just hoping the cube van I was passing blocked the camera at the correct time/angle. I didn't see that it had dropped from 65 to 55. I'll be holding my breath for the next few days. (hmmm kind of like a goofer fan during the playoffs) Hoping since you got yours on the way back and I haven't seen one yet from on the way there that I'll be alright.

With the formation of B1G, I think UND did the right thing. The balance of power in the WCHA would have been lost to the smaller schools and league votes could have hurt UND in the long run. Plus the WCHA would have been considered a much weaker conference. I will admit it brings with it a bunch of uncertainties. Check with your local cable provider to see if they will pick up the midco feed. I know charter airs the Beavers and several other teams games on PBS digital channels. Hopefully that will be an option.

Or how about a box of wine? That should be much easier with all the layers.

I think the surprise is more so with all the coaches that are available due to the lockout and previous college coaches that they would have a high school coach no matter what the school. Yes, he has previous experience as an assistant, but it is a big jump from being an assistant for two years and a high school coach(coaching younger and lower skilled players) to coaching the highest skilled kids from the country at that age. I don't know Phil in anyway shape or form, I haven't followed enough of the games other than the Canada game and highlights that goon has posted on his site. I can't and won't rate him accurately as a coach. Doesn't mean that I'm not still surprised at the decision.

So much for the concept of moving the puck on a PP. We looked terrible!
