  1. I agree. I have the post game blues. I was just asking. I for one will never give-up on the Sioux. I have been with them since I was a little guy. Just hard to take right now. This too shall pass.
  2. Why wasn't there a time out called? Why wasn't the goalie replaced? Why didn't Hak do something to jump start the team? Hell, Berenson did it and got them right back in it!
  3. Shegos is the same idiot that screwed us last year against BC. Apparently you can't check in hockey. I was at the game and the calls against UND were horrible. At one point penalties were 6-2. Almost like last year when he tried to make up the calls at the very end of the game in the national semi-final against BC. You gotta let them play the game....within reason. Speaking of face-offs, I have never seen so many players tossed by a line judge 50 ft. away. (In particular UND players). On a side note, in my estimation, Wisconsin must have iced the puck 25-30 times. Don't know if Hennessey mentioned that at all. Broke up alot of UND's momentum when they did have it.
  4. I was at the game. The whole upper section was empty! I think there was less last night than there was on Saturday night!
  5. I'll take the regional victory in Denver over that any day.
  6. I agree. The kid has ultra talent. He needs to play more. Can you imagine if he gets going? Like I stated in a earlier post, it would be like picking up a mid-season recruit.
  7. Regardless of what happened maybe this is exactly what the Sioux needed to start sweeping these series that they are supposed to! Either way TJ rocks! Go Sioux!
  8. The question I have is that why are the Sioux not playing with desperation like at the end of Saturday night s game?
  9. Great post.
  10. A few things are evident after watching the fight. 1. Turris is a coward. 2. It takes 2 badgers for every Sioux. 3. The badger announcers are complete homers. 4. The announcers say that North Dakota is a team like this that starts these fights when Wisconsin is historically the biggest clutch and grab team in the country. 5. Eaves is a whack-job.
  11. Can you imagine if Forney all of sudden just takes off and lives up to his #1 draft choice status? That's like adding a mid-season recruit. I've seen this kid play and he is the real deal. Give him time. He might be a little gun shy right now but he'll be alright. Go Sioux! Go Mike Forney!
  12. Agreed. All the other sports at Minnesota, they recruit around the country. But that's okay according to them and basically they are saying that Manitoba has better players than Minnesota.

    Toews Watch

I agree.......Toews stays and gets number 8 and the Hobey.
  14. Bingo!
  15. I am going out on a limb to say that Toews is staying. Just a gut feeling that he stays. Awesome, awesome news! This just shows how tight these guys are as a team. Gotta love them Sioux!

    Hak

I posted this on another thread: Just to add to this. I was lucky enough to greet the team at 12:30 a.m on Monday morning in Fargo. There were only five of us there. Coach Hakstol was the first to get off the charter plane and as we were standing there he came right up to us and asked us what we thought of the game. He even remembered my last name as I had the privilege (sp?) of golfing with him in the Detroit Lakes Sioux-per Swing. He and that staff are first-class all the way. It was awesome. I always know that the players and the coaching staff represent the state and the university in a gentlemanly way with dignity and pride....and to me that is what it is all about because it just carries over to how they play...........with alot of grit, get-up and go, pride and heart. And to me, that's what it is all about. The wins and losses will take care of themselves. Coach Hakstol is 1st class all the way! GO SIOUX!
  17. Not too bad. We also golfed with Jeff Bowen and Brad Bombadir and he hits the **** out of it!

  19. I agree they took too many penalties. That being said they were the much more aggressive team. The Sioux were planting Gophers on their butts that whole first period. There was a series there of three consecutive monster hits on Gopher players that was just unbelievable. Thus the penalties were 5-1 in favor of the Gophers. The penalties evened out a little more at the end but you have to call it a little more even than that. That's what Hakstol was harping out. Like Dubay said, that's hockey and hitting is a part of hockey. But yes, the Sioux need to control their emotions just a little bit more and they will be fine.
  20. Hell, broadcast the video and listen to Hennesey! Otherwise we have to listen to the drivel on FSN.

    Booooooo

That game was probably the most highly skilled game I ever saw. There was so much talent on the ice at one time it was just ridiculous. There was no other team in the country that was going to keep up that pace with either team. It was a fantastic game even though the Sioux lost.

    Booooooo

Both what Lamaroux and Wheeler did was inapropriate. It showboating and there is no room for it. Just win with dignity. Off course we are not on the ice and can't hear exchange of barbs thrown at each other which my guess has alot to do with it. I will say this though, how did the Gophers get their hands on those Minot jerseys?
