  1. 79 of the current Divison I schools are former Division II schools.
  2. I can tell that you care
  3. Scheels is more into the sports logo wear. The Memorabilia show will be more sportscards, old game programs, autographs, equipment etc. I do know one UND fan in the Twin Cities that has almost every trading card of anyone from UND that has a trading card. Here is a auction site with some nice examples of memorabilia. Mastonet Link
  4. I believe that last year the SDSU football game at NDSU had the larger attendance than any game played at UND, any sport.
  5. There is a sports collectables show at the Fargodome on Saturday April 24, from 10am-4pm. The show is part of the Outback Steakhouse Charity Bison Spring Game festivities. Even though it is a NDSU event, there will be UND items, mostly paper (trading cards, programs, postcards etc) for sale. North Dakota related items including Roger Maris, Darrin Erstad, Travis Hafner, Phil Jackson, Phil Hansen, Dave Osborn, Lamar Gordon, Dave Christian, Ed Belfour, etc. There will also be people looking to buy items of the same, along with other new and vintage sports related items. Phil Hansen will be making an autograph appearance. There is also a Hot Tub sale, Charity Auction, Kid's games. Proceeds from the events are donated to the Make-A-Wish foundation. Personally I would be interested in any programs or yearbooks with Phil Jackson in them, Roger Maris (Maras) items, and any Minneapolis Lakers items. There was a Grand Forks company that produced a set of Minneapolis Lakers cards in the 1950's.
  6. I am not real excited about playing Drake. Maybe MSU-Mankato should play them. They might be able to improve from that "Goose Egg" last year. The Mavericks did play Bemidji State close last year.
  7. I should say NOT........ Profound quote
  8. Your source also says 90 of the original 130 Divison II schools are gone. 79 went to Division I. I don't mind the Eagles myself:
  9. The 2004 NBA Champion Timberwolves
  10. You asked and I answered.
  11. Thus NDSU will be a Divison I school, and I-AA in football.
  12. NDSU will be a I-AA school according to the NCAA, and participating in 13 Divison I sports. UND will be a DII school according to the NCAA, and participating in 2 Divison I sports. Next DI opponent is Minnesota on 4/21 (I am sure you have heard of Minnesota in Hockey). Only 13 DI schools play hockey.
  13. By the time a court case was resolved, there would not be any students on either campus that would remember or care what a Nickel Trophy is, or a Bison/UND game was like.
  14. Heard the Dr told Trenbeath that his sports career was over. He is now looking for a second opinion. Always hate to see this happen.
  15. It doesn't hurt to add I-Rod to your team either.
  16. I see Trenbeath got hurt playing baseball and will be out for a few months. He had a good run going in his three major sports. It's tough to watch an athlete like that get hurt. Hopefully he can recover fully from this injury. Cavalier's Trenbeath out for the season
  17. Same could be said for GVSU's hockey program.
  18. Detroit should be the favorite. Legace has proven himself this year. Even with Brodeur, the Devils need Stevens back to win the cup.
  19. Is this NFL Europe in the future for UND?
  20. There was an article posted on Bisonville the day after he won the award. The article mentioned the top two guys were injured. Maybe there were only two good players in that recent hotbed in Wisconsin Nelson did make first team All-State to backup his Mr Basketball. Only the future will tell how good he will be.
  21. You can't be done yet How many years did you play UMC
  22. I was going to ignore this topic, but just because you have a hockey team, doesn't mean you call tell others what to talk about. I happen to be a fan of the Minnesota Gophers, and attend the Minnesota State Hockey tourney every year. I have been to my share of girls and boys hockey games. Former Omaha Lancers and Minnesota Wild season ticket holder. Went to the North Stars Stanley Cup Finals. I don't drink, so you know I am there for the hockey, not like many fans at the Ralph. I grew up on Hockey Night in Canada, pre-Don Cherry days. Lived close to the Grand Cities, and went the Winnipeg Jets games instead of the UND games. Watching UND hockey doesn't make you king.
  23. IMO, she was the best player. Good shooter, rebounder, defense. Very active player, always around the ball. She would have had an impact on any team, maybe not the numbers, but she would have stood out.
  24. I don't thing Mankato could afford DI per this article. If any Minnesota team could make the move, St Thomas would be my best guess. The Divison I NCC was discussed extensively on other threads.
  25. I don't think the Minnesota schools would have been part of the I-AA NCC. UND UNC USD SDSU NDSU and maybe UNO
