Wyo didn't say UND, he said the NCC. I only see two NCC teams that would compete next year with any of the GWFC teams. UND and UNO. It took UND overtime, at home, to beat a mediocre NDSU team.

The regional alignment was just a comparision, not a reason why things happened the way they did. I would rather the Bison travel to play UCD and Cal Poly, that means we get home games against them too. Didn't GVSU have a home and home with UCD in the past? UNC also left the NCC, not just SDSU and NDSU. Colorado has been a travel site for quite a few years. Utah will be new. GVSU probably won't have to worry about anymore Florence trips with the UND in their region now.

Travel to Washington to play DII Central Washington and DII Western Washington which are in the same region as the NCC and GLIAC. Travel to Oregon to play DII Central Oregon, which is in the same region as the NCC and GLIAC. Travel is not a big issue for the Great West Football Conference.

NDSU has played and beaten Grambling. NDSU is I-AA in football not I-A. This move will have the Bison playing the teams they were playing in the 1960's. Don't have U Conn, or Tennessee, but Maryland and Marshall are on the Sked. That's a good start. With the new regional alignment in DII, NDSU would have traveled to Washington and Oregon to play regional games. Might as well play in a conference and have those games count as conference games.

I wonder what Monticello's 10-12 grades are at. South St Paul is around 8-900 students for 10-12, and they had a choice between the two classes.

That's funny, because Tommy Kramer is in the Twin Cities this weekend for a Autograph appearance and Bobble head promotions. Not sure Tommy knows anything about hockey, except where the bar is. It was a sectional game. Maybe Monticello should be in Class A. If a team with a tradition like South St Paul moved down to Class A, maybe Monticello should take a look at it.

Didn't UNA also play a provisional Divison II team that was worth a 2 point win. Giving them 2 games that brought their SOS down.

I was on the Metrodome floor during Twinsfest. The current carpet in the dome is horrible. Many people were complaining about walking on the stuff all day. Not much different than lightly padded cement. The Twins management let people drive on the field. Most years they have it covered, so I assume the field turf is still a go. They had a booth set up with a section of fieldturf. Nice product.

NDAC vs the Upstate Normal School has been the best college game in the upper midwest. Minnesota - Wisconsin is good, but not there, Iowa - Iowa State is good too, but you have to look at the Packers vs Vikings to have the same intensity at the fan level. UND should play the schools that give them more power points like UMC. NDSU should play as many I-AA schools(not 1-AA) as they can each year. But the scholarship difference is a lame excuse. It is not a level playing field when UMC and Winona St play NCC schools. NCC teams carry 36 Scholarships and NSIC carry around 20. I do look forward to enjoying next years NDSU schedule.

Not this NDSU fan, It would be lose - lose for the Bison. It would look bad if a I-AA NDSU lost to a DII UND. And if NDSU wins, they were suppose to win. The Scholarship thing isn't a big deal, Winona State had about 16 less scholarships than UND and SDSU, and they still played. The NSIC is at about 20 Scholarships, and the NCC is at 36 per school.

I got in a pretty good debate with my taxi driver in Mexico last spring. It was almost like he was a Martin Sheen or Dixie Chick clone. He said the Mexican people don't like George Bush and the American Government. He said they like the American people. Of course he made his living off American tourist. It almost sounded like they have a fear of the US invading Mexico. What they said was uncalled for. Can you imagine the Mexican economy if the US even did a tourism boycott of Mexico.
