  1. This is just a part time, when I get time hobby. I only do ebay a few hours a week also. Only enough time for approx 150 items in a week. Are you sure your inventory doesn't consist of 99% UND items. $2000 a month isn't too bad. Keep up the good work, you can buy your very own farm some day. I'd have bought the farm for sure if I sold only UND stuff. It's been a long time since I worked on a farm, owned by a NDSU grad, neighbors to other farms owned NDSU grads. Lennon was pulling your leg when he made that statement, just like when he told that recruit from Winnipeg that UND would be DI in 3 years. UND has to announce soon to make the 3 year promise come true. My inventory consists of sports and Americana. I just happened to have some postcards from both schools to make the comparision. I also have the same sales percent with football and basketball publications. If you look at trading cards, right now Lamar Gordon is the top seller, followed by Dave Osborn. Kleinsasser, Hansen, Braxton, Phil Jackson are pretty cold, as is Ed Belfour. The rest are hit and miss. Dave Christian will sell great at the Roger Maris Golf Tourney show, but so will Roy Smalley and the Niekro Brothers.
  2. Winnipeg Victorias 1896, 1901, 1902
  3. Of course not, but I don't think you will change my opinion on what I like.
  4. I have no problem with the advertising. The fans at high school games are still pretty much there to follow the team. The big arena's are here to stay. I didn't say they were bad, just that I prefer the old ones.
  5. What's even more interesting to me, is the hockey history that took place within these buildings.
  6. There are 3 factors involved in Title IX compliance.
  7. I have never been to the REA, and don't ever plan on going to the REA. If the REA is being compared to the Xcel, it must be a nice modern arena. I am an old school guy that would take Chicago Stadium, Boston Garden, Maple Leaf Gardens, Montreal Forum, over any other arena. I even enjoyed the old Met or Winnipeg Arena. Today my favorite places to watch hockey are the Wakota Arena in South St Paul and the Hastings Arena. Something about the old wooden rafters that make me feel like I am at a real hockey game, and not at a corporate show and tell.
  8. UND probably would not have the same percentage increase in cost. I am pretty sure NDSU's budget is not going to double.
  9. Isn't UND's budget already close to $7.2 million? What percent is hockey?
  10. Portland St does not get as much attention in Oregon as a NDSU or UND does in North Dakota. They do have the same "Economic Engine" as NDSU, but they were not as successful in DII, and are not one of the top two priorities in the state of Oregon. I know what you are saying, but Montana or Montana St would be a better comparision IMO to the North Dakota schools moving to Division I.
  11. 1. The original quote mentions hockey. Portland State does not have the Hockey team to fund it's Divison I sports. 2. UND is one of the top schools in the state, and would have more support than a Portland State. UND has those advantages over Portland State. Portland State would be a bad comparision to make to UND moving to Division I.
  12. Portland State doesn't have a hockey program, nor is it one of the top schools in the state of Oregon.
  13. Great story, thanks for posting it.
  14. I assume you mean Men's hockey.
  15. You are kind of drifting into siouxrock mode
  16. NDSU never made the elite 8 in DII, so by winning a conference tourney in Divison I, the Bison would qualify for the Dance. Playing in a conference at the level of the Mid-Con or Big Sky, the odds of that happening are better than NDSU getting to the elite 8 in DII.
  17. Was the biggest draw for both.
  18. I am not the one making fun of the trophy being added to the SDSU rivalry. Just pointing out that fans do come to see the Bison whether they are playing UND or not. UND would probably draw a larger crowd, but how many years did it take that rivalry to get to where it was when it ended. SDSU, UNC and UC Davis will be more along the line of respectful rivals, than the bitter rivalry that was within North Dakota.
  19. SiouxMeNow, I think the trophy is a great idea. SDSU at NDSU had more people in attendance than the NDSU at UND game. UC-Davis, another GWFC team even had a larger crowd.
  20. It's been a long week today.
  21. UMKC has been a Divison I team for 18 years. That is not that long of a timeframe. Former NCC school UNI finally got to the dance. They have some good players from the Twin Cities. Why do athletes Gonzaga? One trip to the dance is worth more than 100 years of small college and DII basketball.
  22. Haven't heard yet what the actual tophy specs are. From the I-AA messageboard the biggest trophy currenty is:
