When I see Gene Taylor interviewed to me he comes off as a decent guy. Is it the SU Administration that doesn't want the game or it outside forces. I believe it's the later. I think it's the big football doners and teammakers that don't want the game. Taylor is left dealing with the spin. Just one man's opinion could be wrong. Long year for some in Fargo when they lose to the guys up north.

How much oil money is in the bank in Bismarck? Lots. Bismarck guys go for the gold 35 million arts center. Wow I emailed Mac Schneider on the 7th and told him to keep his eyes open and to protect our turf. With all the things UND has Med School, Law, EERC we GF and UND have the most to loose. They will try to get some of these programs. Bismarck wants a 4 year college and when it gets one they will try partner with UND and get there own Med School and Law School. I believe it and so does other people.The state should spend wisely No one should get Taj Mahals. This is more important than sports. Support UND.

I asked the guys who the QB should be and they all said Marcus H. The players were right about him. They should know being around him every practice. Hendrickson sure is a feel good story. At the same time you feel bad about Hanson but it looks like he'll get a shot at playing to. 2 good QB's can't beat that.

Have the SU players denied or confirmed the charges to coach Bohl. Does anyone know. It matters if you like someone when you talk about how serious charges against someone. Remember Clinton if you were against him it was all about lying under oath. If you supported him you said lying about consenual sex does not rise to the level of high crimes and misdemeanors. SU always seems to make it interesting.

How big a roll does the ND State Bank play in ND's economy? It must be working or the privatize everything crowd would have gotten rid of it years ago. Especially in a red state. It has something to do with GF's economy so I brought it up.

I went to one of the scrimmages a few weeks ago and Hendrickson looked sharp. His passes were dead on that day. To bad for Hanson. I wouldn't count this team out of any game this year. The last few years some of UND'S best football has been on the road. Maybe not W's but good football. UND crushed em. I'm sure Gene Roebuck is smiling somewhere. Ha.

Braden Hanson says he pumped to be here and play. That speaks well of the football program. What has he said if anything of what he thinks about the talent level at UND. Who is the #3 QB?

The last few years the crowds have been hit and miss. Let's hope attendance goes up this year. Under 8 tonite bad. Over 8 ok. Over 9 good start.

I guess topic got sidetracked I'm still trying to figure out these other teams we play 1st one should be big w. Has anybody on this board given an indepth report on games 2 and 3.

A voluntary turnover I guess that would be a good way to put it. The defense would always be on there heels. A quick kick would amost always work with no return men back there.

Does this start out as a gimmick and catches on. Is punting a turnover? Makes me think back to playing the SU veer in the 80's. If we punt Bentrum is going to score. Why punt. Also something I read about awhile back the guy wrote every college should get 1 spring game. Wouldn't that make the spring a bit more exciting.

I really believe Mussman has what it takes and will lead us to the promise land.

Mr. Sanford won't be around forever. UND should not sell it's soul to what could hurt the school down the road. Devil is in the details right. The empire Sanford Medical is building is based out of Sioux Falls correct. Fargo , Bismarck ect will in the future have ther medical decisions come out of Sioux Falls. The next CEO or one in the future may not be so generous. Maybe big job loses in these communities. Remember Bobcat. Having corporations based in your community is a good thing. Altru is helping GF and I see no reason that they would not continue to do so. Let's stick with a sure thing. We don't need any Snidley Whiplashes draining our community of jobs.

Thanks for all the kind words about the Hub and Rae Ann fellas. When you read my post about the 16 letters she earned at UND one might raise an eyebrow. The sport seasons back then were very short. She lettered in Basketball, Track, Tennis and maybe her best sport softball. Just talked to my mother about this and she reminded me about a fire on campus that burnt her info. Both parents are still alive and that would be there dream to see her inducted into UND's Hall of Fame. Thanks again.

Hub Bar downtown GF serves a very good burger. It's also the oldest bar in GF. My son is running it now.My sister former UND athlete Rae Ann Moe ran it for years. She passed away 2 years ago. She had 16 letters 4 a year for 4 years. She was good friends with Roger Thomas who use to tell her you must have been one hell of an athlete Rae Ann. We were very proud of her. Roger trIed to get her into UND'S hall of fame but she never graduated From UND what a shame. Try a Hub burger someday.

Looks like Coach Bohl has some trouble with the 3-4. I'm hoping the Sioux 11 get ther shot THIS FALL.

I see Dales squad Is picked for the bottom half of the Missouri Valley this year. Has anybody heard anything about his situation. Let's hope he get's it going down there.

Johnboy I admit I'm not one of the most articulate posters out there but I got alot of heart for UND. What frustrates me to no end is when Energy centers, Medical schools leave UND's campus and no one seems to care. Contrast that with the people who love NDSU football. When someone put a bill in to force SU to play football on a yearly basis with UND SU fans rose up made alot of noise to do what they thought was in the best interest of NDSU football. I respect that.

I remember listening to Byron Dorgan a few years ago on KFGO talking about research at our Universities and in his comments he talked about having energy research in the western part of the state. So the boys in Bismarck have been after this for quiet awhile. The western part of the state has felt ignored for ever. I see the UND Medical school got the cheapest option in there Capital Project Requests. 38.5 Million. Maybe the rest is going to go to Williston I wouldn't be surprised. What are the Legislators going to do with all this oil money coming into the ND coffers. State government is no different than the federal government when it comes to funding things. Everyone has there own definition of whats right or fair. North Dakota is run by the Republican Party and most Republicans or Conservatives on this board are 11th commandment Republicans. I believe they are more Republican then Sioux fans. Why I say this is because I believe they are about to sell us down the river. Here's a prediction Bismarck State gets a 4 year college and becomes the states largest University. They get 15000 plus students and Bismarck grows to 75,000 in population. What happens to UND and Grand Forks is this 10,000 students if were lucky and Grand Forks loses population to below 50,000. About 20 years ago Bismarck resident Kent French started a referral to stop the excesses of Higher Ed. Maybe I should start one to stop the expansion of 4 year colleges. Again I ask the question that no one has answered shouldn't there be a stop to any expansion of 4 year colleges.

Ask Jerry Groenewold at EECR what he thinks. He was not happy with the State Legisture. You see Grand Forks is an easy place to pick on they don't fight back.

Ralph Kingsbury has written about it in the Herald. His friends in Bismarck have told him they want and deserve a University with all the bells and whistles that the tax payers can give them. The point of my post is that other communities want to duplicate what UND has and offers. Let me ask you should there be more 4 year Universities in North Dakota.

Article in the Grand Forks Herald this week about Williston State has me very concerned. Williston State wants to establish a center in Williston to train Doctors, Nurses, Lab Techs and other health care professionals. Do the want another Med School? It appears so. Bismarck and Williston both want 4 year colleges. North Dakota tax payers are already paying alot of money for what some would say to much higher education as it is. I wrote about this a few years ago when the new Bismarck State Energy Center was opened to duplicate the one at UND. It amounts to stealing from one community to benefit another. The lawmakers fom the Grand Forks area are going to have to start getting agressive. We cannot sit back and let other communities steal programs from UND. They should submit a bill saying no more 4 year colleges or no more duplication. People love tax payer dollars when it benefits them even Conservatives. If UND and the Grand Forks Community doesn't take a stand now they will be sorry. I wonder how this would fly in Fargo if someone proposed another Land Grant University somewhere in North Dakota. Wake up UND before it's to late.
