  1. Is anybody having toruble with the webcast, the bottom half of the picture is all blurry for me, anybody else have this and know how to fix it?? any help would be great thanks.
  2. I didnt think that one or two games would make such a difference. I have no idea how the ranking system works but that is ridiculous. one win or loss should not make such a difference.
  3. the design seems like such an obvious idea yet nobody ever thought of it, wow! congrats kid, very good idea, i hope he can sell it to RBK or something, and make a fortune.
  4. I agree, they do look like a completely new team, this goopher sweep really showed us what the Sioux are capable of if they come to play, the only problem will be to get them to play as if it were a goopher series every weekend. It is only a few weeks into this half of the season and things are looking up, but there is a long way to go, if they can keep this up or even keep improving week by week, the Sioux will be a FORCE to be reckoned with.
  5. But it is so hard when this happens But it is a good point, we dont want to be like those damn jersey popping gooophers!!!
  6. how sweep it is to take the goophers down, convincingly, 2 nights in a row. IN YOUR FACE GOOPHERS!!! SIOUX SWEEP!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  7. OMG........... Is this really happening?? WTF is going on?? This is embarrassing!!!
  8. No, not necessarily, but he could be running the most intense program. I think i am explaining it wrong, but the best way to put it is this, think of herb brooks in miracle, He worked the players so hard until they hit breaking point, then started to ease the load off. that brings teams together and builds chemistry, and i think it is entirely possible that is what hak does, Somebody has to have the most intense program in college hockey and it very well could be Haks program. I am NOT saying fatigue could be the reason they are playing POORLY, but it could be the reason why there is no intensity during games, why there is no intense forecheck, why there is no big hitting because MAYBE the players could be tired and fatigued.
  9. I am guessing that most other teams may not have such an intense conditioning schedule, especially in the first half. i agree that this season seems a little worse than previous, but i still know what they are capable of, and if chemistry is found then this team will be an absolute force. It will take time and hopefully things will turnaround again. Maybe this is all part of Haks plan to get everybody to doubt him, and just when everybody is ready to count them out he "flicks that switch" or "pushes that button" and they start playing like we all know they should. And i couldnt agree more with your last line!!! PS. I think we all gotta relax and SUPPORT the Sioux right now, and not criticize them whenever we get the chance. GO SIOUX and i love you all...... except you Gopherz XOXO Aussie Sioux Fan
  10. Exactly, a few days off is the perfect cure for muscle fatigue. And i think there is a reason behind the slow starts for the last 3-4 seasons, there is to much consistency and a clear pattern is shown hence there must be a reason behind it.
  11. I am once again going to do a bit of guessing here (so AZSIOUX get ready to comment on this one also) but I ...THINK... (notice how i said think) that bad coaching leads to players out of position and bunched on the ice, or the player with the puck having no options and turning over the puck, and when either (a) your offense is shut down easily, indicating wrongly suited offensive systems for the opposition or even league, or (b) when defense is being beaten by passing plays and open skaters, indicating the defense are not sure where to be and which players to pickup. these things generally come down to the lines and the team where the positions of the players is the main flaw. Out hustled is when a team is beaten in the battles on a more individual basis, like down low in the corners 1 on 1, or when a team is beaten to the puck when they are the closest to it, and when a defender gets walked around by one of the other teams forward. these things generally come down to the individual players not the team or the line on the ice.
  12. I am not saying fatigue is the only reason they are playing badly, but for a hockey team to play with lots of intensity you need to be well conditioned and fresh (which the Sioux may not be fresh) so i am saying that it could very well be a factor. Its not an excuse by any means, it is just a possible explination for the reason the Sioux start the season slow. Fatigue and overtraining is extremely common in world class athletes, and it is likely to be a factor with the Sioux. Think about it... the last, what... 4 seasons, the Sioux have played poorly up to the christmas break, after a little time off from training to rest and recover they come back on fire, there is something there and to look at all the things that could contribute to this i think overtraining could be a major part of it. Unless there is a magic switch that Hak flicks to get the Sioux to play well after christmas, i cant think of any logical reason why each season the Sioux suddenly turn things around after the break. Can you??
  13. I am going to do a bit of guessing here but i think that the Sioux could be a little fatigued right now. I think i said this last year but, generally the structure of a hockey season is to work on conditioning and fitness in the first half of the season, really put the players through hell to get them fit and fast, then start to lighten the load in the second half and really focus on systems and the on ice play, then taper off when the playoffs are near so the players are energised and ready to play hard hockey. This is probably what Hak is doing to the players, i would guess that they are working really hard off the ice ATM, but when the focus is shifted to the on ice work and the systems things will start to click (hopefully), and the fact that there are a few injuries doesnt help the players fatigue either. Secondly, we all know this team is capable of doing great things, but just because things aern't clicking yet doesnt mean they won't click in the future. Look at the lines each week, they are getting moved around like lottery balls, when chemistry is found on the lines then things will start to click more and more, and hopefully will lead to some great play by the Sioux. Finally, they say that "The darkest hour is right before dawn" so hopefully when things seem they can not get any worse for the Sioux (which is right about now) things will turn around and the Sioux will start playing like they should and start putting up big wins. This is my opinion if you disagree....... whatever!
  14. FUDGEING HELL!!! I just paid for the B2 Live webcast but then realised it is included in my subscription with the SiouXtra!!! FUDGE
  15. Is anybody else watching the webcast on B2 Live and not getting any audio. The picture is perfect for me but there isnt any sound...WTF
  16. wow i have never heard of a concussion lasting more than a week. i initially thought that was a coverup for a more serious injury. well it is very unfortunate. i hope he gets well soon.
  17. What is wrong with Finley? i thought it was minor to begin with but it has turned into a SERIOUS injury. What happened to him? (if there is anyone from other WCHA teams please ignore this post and future posts, cheers)
  18. I agree, but i think Eidsness needs time to really get comfortable in big situations in this league. Sure... he has played very well up to this point, and i think he should be the starter without question, but the bigger the situation the more a goalie needs experience. He will need to get a lot more games in, so that come March, during the playoffs, he will feel comfortable and more importantly... CONFIDENT!!! This is so he can step up his game and play better by feeding off the big situation rather than having no experience and choking. I just hope he continues along the path he is on right now, if he does the Sioux will have every reason to play well infront of him.
  19. HAHA at least he now realises he wrote a terrible article. What a moron
