I think we get a mix here of level-of-play comparisons, and level-of-popularity comparisons, depending on the poster and his or her agenda. For level of popularity, the two ESPN GameDay trips to Fargo pretty much settled that argument, not to mention the TV ratings.

There's something about their program that's bigger than any individual head coach. They have all been mediocre at best in the win column after leaving NDSU for the next level, with the possible exception of Darrell Mudra if you go back far enough. Maybe Klieman breaks that trend, good luck to him.
