  2. Jonathan Toews was 11 the last time UND finished the season with a win.
  3. When is the banner ceremony?
  4. Lammy - 1-1, 2.43 goals against, .926 save percentage Minnesota goalies - 2-0, 1.95 goals against, .928 save percentage
  5. And to think....not a single member of the Fighting Sioux could even grow facial hair the last time UND won a title. Ironic.
  6. When are you Sioux fans going to let this thread die? Geesh.
  7. I thought the Gophers got all the calls. Please be consistent.
  8. Swept in a first round WCHA playoff series in 2002. Lost by THREE to something called Ferris State in the first round in 2003. With Parise, Bochenski, Murray, Stafford, etc., a #1 NCAA seed holds a team to 17 shots on goal and still loses in 2004. In 2005, following a nice run to the title game, the all-mighty Jordan Parise stops 83.3 percent of the shots he faces as they get beat by THREE GOALS. In 2006, another Frozen Four flameout. Decides to give BC a 5-1 lead and then remember the pride they have wearing the Sioux sweater to make a game of it. Once again, holier than thou, better than Briggs, Jordan Parise stops 80.6 percent of the shots he faced. Only 2,463 days since the last Sioux title.
  9. That is funny. The 20th century was a good time.
  10. Let me guess....were you 11 the last time the Sioux won a national title?
  11. If that's the reason, then he should be in Denver for the St. Cloud-Pioneer series...not a series between teams separated by 13 points in the standings.
  12. I doubt there's one person on this board that thought UND would still be without a national title since the arena opened...the recruiting strength that it is.
  13. I'll take this comparison. Briggs: 78-30-8 Frazee: 16-4-3 Total: 94-34-11 Lamoureax: 22-24-3 Grieco: 3-2-1 Total: 25-26-4
  14. Of course Minnesota will have more power plays. Minnesota is averaging 5.6 power plays per game while North Dakota is only averaging 5.5 power plays. The WCHA is anti-Sioux.
  15. It's not ok to play UND or Illinois, it's required. The University of Minnesota has no choice to play North Dakota and Illinois in conference games. It has a choice whether to play non-conference opponents. Seems logical. Is Wisconsin sucking up to the NCAA? Iowa?
  16. They do? The team that finished third in the WCHA both years they won their national title? The team that went nine years inbetween WCHA regular season titles? The team that rotated in their two freshman goalies in the second half of the season with their senior starter in 2002? Bottom line...for better or probably worse...no school places less emphasis on the WCHA race than Minny under Lucia. It's all about the Pairwise.
  17. WCHA Playoff Titles: Minnesota (13), North Dakota (8)
  18. Last 10 years Michigan: 285-107-38 (.707) North Dakota: 267-118-34 (.678)
  19. Because you're usually talking about their team over here?
  20. A Sioux fan playing the no respect card? The USCHO poll has been around since the 1997-98 season. North Dakota has been ranked AHEAD of Minnesota and Wisconsin in six of those nine years in the preseason even as recent as 2004-05. In the preseason poll, Wisconsin has NEVER been ranked ahead of UND prior to this season. In 2002-03, UND was coming off a horrid season in 01-02 and was ranked 13th. In 2003-04, Minnesota was coming off a national title and UND was ranked fifth. In 2005-06, Minnesota was bringing in Kessel to join Potulny, Irmen, etc., UND was ranked seventh. Hardly a slap in the face. Considering Denver, Minnesota and Wisconsin have accounted for five titles since North Dakota's last one, I'd say that's a tremendous amount of respect for the Sioux program.
  21. You'd think with all the top notch recruiting North Dakota has done, they would have won a title this century. INCH is run by a former SID at Michigan State and a former reporter from Michigan. Even there website was designed by a former MSU hockey player. Jeff Sauer also contributes to the site....he's a big gopher homer. If they aren't raving about the Sue, it must be Gopher bias.
  22. Career Winning Percentage Lammy: .448 Parise: .713 Brandt: .708 Siembida: .625 Kollar: .725 Minnesota and North Dakota in 06-07: Questions in goal
